After a rather harsh winter, during which many cats starved to death, four groups formed under the stars. These cats were united by few who were given visions and dreams in which they spoke with the Ancestor Cats. These cats formed OakClan and BoulderClan, LightClan, and CliffClan. It’s been several seasons since the formation, and many cats still have trouble with cutting ties with their friends. In the twenty-eight seasons (seven years) since they formally sat down, the clans are still adjusting the code; however, they’ve agreed that they will meet on neutral ground every full moon to share tongues and news. Our story begins on one of these nights. Most clan elders still remember the time of the rogues; the oldest remember the winter before.

1)Honesty is the best policy. Always be truthful when dealing with players OOC, hiding things and lies make it difficult to make sure everyone is having a good time. 2)Let us know if you are going to be away for a while, then move your character off to the side so no one gets stuck waiting too long. 3)Seeing as there will most likely be a variety of locations in this role play, every post should include location, character name and time at the top to stay organized. Tag all players involved in your post as well. 4)All Guild rules apply without exception. 5)Ask if anything goes against or around anything that's been stated here previously. 6)You may have as many characters as you like and create as many intricate dramatic plots as you wish as long as it follows the general premises. Ask me before doing anything that could affect the entirety of the role play or if there's a plot you would think will work here. 7)Have fun everyone
First and foremost, I would like to discuss posting requirements. Yes, we are in the casual section but that does not mean we are allowed to slack or be boring because a boring role play dies quickly and I’m sure we would all like this to continue for a long while. So here, I will list that which I require from all of us – I included. No. 1, Post Length Casual requires us to post only two or three paragraphs, though considering this as a medium causal role play I would like everyone to post to the best of their ability, with a minimum of one paragraphs per post, per character. Between two and three paragraphs per character is ideal, though more than that is always welcome as long as it’s not a drag along bore that we all have to read through. A single paragraph should be between 5 and eight compound sentences. If it's all fragmented double the sentence count. No. 2, Depth, Description and Quality When posting, keep in mind that a good quality post has a good amount of description and character depth. As mentioned above, a minimum of one paragraph is required, but having most of it be just dialogue is unacceptable. Describe facial expressions, body language, and tone of voice and NPC audience reactions when the character does a vast amount of speaking. When passive you can easily speak of how the character relates to others, or their background. Does that make sense? No. 3, Frequency I have to say that how often people post tends to greatly affect how a role play progresses. Longer posts do take a certain amount of time to produce, and shorter posts take less time. I would prefer that for now we adhere to the ‘two post rule’ so that we have a sufficient turn order to be able to not leave everyone else behind. As well a post should be written at least once every 72 hours. If you know you will not have time I would ask that you move your character aside and notify me as well as the rest of the group that you will be away for an extended period of time. If you are waiting for someone to post after the 36 hours, let me know and I will attempt to contact them and let them know. No. 4, Interaction A post with no action is often hard to respond to, so, even if your character does not often interact with others often or well, then have them do something that could possibly attract attention. If you do not try, then you cannot complain. If you need help, ask in the OOC for tips or to see who is free. And when spoken to, never ignore those who attempt to interact with you.

Clan Information

- Do not trespass on another Clan’s territory - Prey is killed only to be eaten. Give thanks to StarClan for its life. - Newly appointed Warriors will sit a silent vigil for one night after receiving their warrior name. - Elders, Queens, and Kits must be fed before warriors. Unless they have permission, apprentices may not eat until they have hunted to feed the elders. If any warrior or apprentice is sick or injured, they may eat when the elders, queens and kits are eating. - A gathering for all four clans is held at the full moon during a truce. There shall be no fighting among clans at this time. - The deputy will become clan leader after the leader dies, retires, or is exiled. - Cats on their way to the Moonfall are allowed to cross other clan territories to get to their destination. - A warrior rejects the soft life of a kittypet.

OakClan makes their home in the forest beneath the mountains. Their part of valley is untouched by twolegs, with a single river running it's length and a waterfall in the west. These cats range in talents, though they take naturally to the underbrush and trees of their territory. Proud cats, but kind, these wild cats are gracious in victory and defeat. Rivals with BoulderClan, their leader is a cat of great charisma and wisdom - even if he’s getting old. The cats are learning to behave and work together, though some may have issues with other cats, the higher ups encourage them to work things out. They share borders with CliffClan, LightClan and BoulderClan. Signature Skills Stalking; OakClan feel most at home in the thick undergrowth, they are best at ambush and sneak attacks from inside the undergrowth. Balance; The cats of OakClan are working on perfecting a technique that allows them to balance without using their tails. Typical Prey Mice; Voles; Squirrels; Medium & Small Birds; Other Small Rodents

BoulderClan is made of cats who prefer the harsh and rugged look on life. They make their home above the forest floor where they can see the entire valley beneath them. Their camp is a series of tunnels and caverns inside of their mountain. They hunt mostly birds, and lack the skill to climb trees or hide in underbrush, though they are phenomenal at climbing rocks and going unseen against the stone. They're balance is praised. While they spend their lives half in darkness, the maze of tunnels inside the mountainside would cause most cats from other clans to panic and get lost. They share borders with OakClan and CliffClan. Signature Skills Still Stalking; The only way to lure prey into the open in the mountains, is make sure they can’t see you. Naturally grey and brown pelts help them hide from prey and enemies before they make their move. Rock Climbing; Thick pads keep paws safe from the tough edges of the rocks, while these cats have become skillful in traversing the harsh terrain. Typical Prey Falcons; Rabbits; Mice; Weasels; Sometimes Eagles; Sometimes Fish

CliffClan, possibly the most accepting of all the clans, live in the forested area of their valley. Their territory is wide and long, their camp in an old quarry abandoned for generations. The closest knit of all the clans they would never turn away a cat in need, even if that cat was an enemy. They perhaps have the only territory touched by twolegs, not that the other clans would admit. As the largest clan, with the most mouths to feed, they have expanded their territory further into the valley since settling. They rarely want to fight with the other clans, and the cats of the other clans think that they are the weakest. They share borders with OakClan, LightClan, and BoulderClan. Signature Skills Adaptability; The cats of CliffClan are known for easily adapting to their situations. Most are flexible cats, and while none are perfect at something, they all have skills for every situations they could think of. Tree Climbing; The other clans joke about the cats of CliffClan being descended of squirrels, with how well and easily these cats take to the trees. This skill is incorporated both in hunting and combat. Typical Prey Mice & Voles of all Kinds; Squirrels; Arctic Hares; Shrews; Small Birds; Other Rodents

If asked by anyone outside the clan, the cats of LightClan would be described as power-hungry bullies. Which isn’t far from the truth. LightClan trains hard. They value fighting prowess and courage. Those that refuse to fight are cast out, and the crippled are left to die. But, what none of the other clans see, is how respectfully they treat their elders. How well fed they keep their Medicine Cat and their Queens. The other clans don’t see the bonds these cats forge in battle. Regardless of the bonds they have inside their own clan, LightClan are isolationists. They rarely associate with the other clans outside of a gather, or border skirmishes. Their territory consists largely of rivers and marshes. Towards the borders, the trees thicken. They share borders with CliffClan and OakClan. Signature Skills Strong Swimmers; The cats of LightClan make their home by the water, and all learn how to fish and swim. They are currently working on incorporating their swimming skills into their combat. Pack Hunters; LightClan has taken their fighting skills one step further; tracking and killing much larger prey. They ambush their prey and enemies by luring them in. Fighters; Warriors to the core, the cats of LightClan never stop practicing. Just because they’ve earned their warrior name, doesn’t mean that they have an excuse to get lazy. Typical Prey Fish, Rodents & Birds in their territory; Large Birds (geese, swans, & ducks); Predatory Birds (Goshawk, falcons, vultures); Sometimes Coyote; Sometimes Young Deer.

Player Characters & NPCs

POST CHARACTERS IN OOC OR PM THEM TO ME FOR APPROVAL Image Name Previous Name(s): Breed: Age: Gender: Clan: Rank: Mentor(s): Apprentice(s): Parents: Sibling(s): Mate(s): Kit(s): Brief History & Personality

Leader: Deputy: Maplefoot [@Dusty] Medicine Cat Frostwhisker [@ViolentViolet] Sagepaw [@Canidae] Warriors Flametail [@Pastel Moon] Leopardfrost [@ViolentViolet] Apprentices Daisypaw [@Pastel Moon] Queens: Kits Followkit [@Dusty] Elders Two-Face [@ViolentViolet]

Leader: Duststar [@WelcmeToGudBrgr] Deputy: Spidernose [@The Elvenqueen] Medicine Cat: Warriors Icegaze [@ViolentViolet] Elmfall [@Dusty] Apprentices Sparrowpaw [@ViolentViolet] Cloudpaw [@Drakey] Queens: Kits: Elders Olivewhisker [@The Elvenqueen]

Leader: Deputy: Stormflash [@Polaris North] Medicine Cat Tigerfall [@Polaris North] Softwillow [@The Elvenqueen] Warriors Frogshade [@The Elvenqueen] Ashclaw [@Drakey] Apprentices: Queens Spottedblossom [@ViolentViolet] Kits Duskkit, Sunkit, Dapplekit, & Palekit [@ViolentViolet] Elders:

Leader: Jaggedstar [@ViolentViolet] Deputy: Medicine Cat: Warriors Cinderblaze [@The Elvenqueen] Crowjaw [@Pennydumb123] Shadowtail [@Drakey] Briartuft [@The Elvenqueen] Apprentices: Queens Ambertail [@ViolentViolet] Rosetail [@ViolentViolet] Kits Weaselkit [@The Elvenqueen] Cricketkit [@The Elvenqueen] Elders:

The Territories
A map of the valley.
