However, as with many born of Wonderland, ‘tis not his true age. Nor would he tell you it. Looks: Standing 6 feet tall to the mark, and possessing sharp features, he has long cut an imposing figure. Auburn-brown hair and dark eyes complement the look. He also has very little variety in his wardrobe. Personality: Roman, mostly due to his name and infamy, is no stranger to solitude. He is quiet and of few words, serious, and evasive when it comes to talking about himself. However, in all but the most sensitive of matters, he will be blunt and to the point. He might offer you assistance should you need it, but don’t come to expect it.

History: When people hear the name ‘Knave’, all thoughts go to that fateful day… when the first Alice appeared among their midst… and Roman, not even a grown man at the time, was standing trial for stealing a tray of tarts. Of his earliest days, he has no memory. There are no parents. No siblings. No games with friends or jokes with siblings. Just servitude to the Red Royal Family. Always standing to one side, ready to serve a meal or pour ale and wine. Sometimes he would saddle a horse, and others he had to polish all the silverware. He was just a servant. Beyond his duties as a servant, he was also brought to be a companion to the young Red Prince. With no brothers or noble boys of his own age, Rex was to have Roman as a friend. In the end, it was just following orders from another person. A person who was clinging, and a little possessive, but they gave him orders nevertheless. He was to train in the way of the sword, should he ever need to defend the young prince. Polish armour. Train with the prince. Spar with him, too. And then came the day it changed. The Queen had made some tarts, and left them on the side. Rex was tempted, and so, he would order Roman to get some for him. Roman had done similar things before, but, in the end, it only took one mistake. And when his 'friend' didn't own up to making the Knave fetch the tarts... well. “Sentence first, verdict afterwards.” Those are famous words. And he carries with him that sentence – a secret to all but he and the Red Royals. But whatever it was, it was severe, and reason enough for the youth to flee the castle. Perhaps flee is not the right word, since he is certainly no fugitive, and the Red King has made no move to pursue him. The knave disavowed his oath of service to the man, though his old moniker was never forgotten. And using the few skills he's learned throughout his life, he's set himself up as a part of the Mad Hatter's town. Currently, he lives in an old-ish seeming house on the outskirts of town. One of the windows is stuck shut, part of the attic is too frail to be considered safe, and the front door doesn’t quite lock properly. But, it’s home.

Job: Roman works as a man-for-hire, almost a mercenary. In his job description, you’d likely find the words 'swordsman', 'escort', 'troublemaker', 'courier', and 'investigator'. He's efficient and swift, and you can trust him to get your job done. So long as it doesn't involve murder, and you pay him first. Crush: OPEN Other: Ignore the lightning. He has no magical powers.
