This figure swelled with pride despite the students honest failings, because every student stood where Shi'Zhen now did as the struggle for understanding began. The subtleties of her power were many and few could truly be taught to another. Like breathing, you just.. knew. To call water into action as you saw fit was a matter of practice in understanding yourself and the invisible 'hand' of your will. "You have yet to fail. In time you will learn to hear the simple words the water can speak, and feel it shape to your imagination." Palm open and to the ceiling of the dome, Kano willed the water to thin until it was almost translucent. Like a window you could see the vague outline of the outside world through the distortion of the watery surface. The lights above shined through the ripples, illuminating the soft puddle at their feet. For a moment it almost seemed lile the water was.. smiling. Like static it sent shivers where skin met the hotsprings' flowing essence, playfully almost. It was Kanos hope that exposure to natural beauty and the power of the springs would spark a deeper comnection between the student and her second soul. That aetherial part of an elementalist that allowed such control to be. "I will guide you as much as possible," he whispered aloud as the dome flowed back to the waters and exposing the two back to warm light of the room. "But if you wish to meditate alone.. I suggest getting a bathing suit or using the ladies only hotsprings. You will be spending quite a bit of time in open waters." The flowing stream gathered under his feet and lifted the Headmaster up and out of the smooth stone floor at the bottom of the hotspring, the bubble or free air surrounding ShiZhen was undisturbed so as to continue her study and meditation at her leisure. As for Kano it was high time he checked in on more personal matters. Already he could feel it festering.. Not enough to be problematic quite yet but always better to be rid of this particular problem early. "The water will return to normal in a few hours so feel free to stay. Myself, I must depart to other business but wish you the best of luck in your budding skills as an Elementalist." Of course Kano would not refuse to continue helping the young lady if such was requested. There would be many days ahead and the Headmaster was more than happy to set aside time in the morning to help where he could, as he often did even amongst the more developed students in the fifth year of training. Consciousness was a fleeting thing at the moment and stubborn willpower was likely the only reason why true darkness had not claimed the boy yet. The irony of not getting enough sleep before doing this stupid fight was not lost to him. Colors danced across his eyelids as a feeling of complete fatigue weighed down his chest, making even the act of breathing difficult. It wasn't like a true weight that came from broken bones or even the sensation of pain, of which Felix knew there would be a great deal of, but more like an absence of something.. important. What had previously been a roaring inferno of unchecked emotion and aggressions had become nothing more than a flickering candle on a cold night.. Cold. Wind buffeting his skin, the smell of the forest as he walked.. Dia? A voice called out his name waking him from darkness, eyes widening with a fresh wave of panic. Half awake he could feel the fear in her voice, bringing him back to the here and now. To the soft sensation of her lips gracing his own. It had the same effect as before, drowning out everything but her. Nothing existed in that moment of fear and relief.. Heedless of the burns and scraped from his own stupidity, Felix tried to rise and felt the pain he had ignored bloom in all its terrible glory as he groaned softly, realizing just how bad it really was. The floor had weathered the storm well enough, save for a blackened ring a dozen feet away. Felix had fared no better, angry red skin where the flames had burned him raced from his fingertips up to his shoulder, his fairly dirty clothing was even worse than before as it caught its own share of trouble. Black holes of scorched fabric revealed buts and pieces of the flesh below. Small blessings, his shoes were seemingly unharmed. The bottoms of his pants weren't any better than the shirt though.. Rather than struggle against his own body as he'd always done, Felix just laid back and closed his eyes again. Focusing on the freezing cold air, tasting true cold for the first time since his element had manifested. It was magnificant. "Sorry.. Dia.." He croaked weakly. "Didn't mean to.. worry you." A rare but light chuckle followed his words. He had been a right jerk and flew off the rails again. Cost him big this time though and knew there wasn't an escape for whats coming. "You were right.." he mumbled again, opening his eyes to see her beautiful face. "I should have seen the nurse." His grin stretched across his face, ready to accept her wrath.
