Richard smiled mildly to the detective; [color=#20fffb][i]"Then, I'll be on my way."[/i][/color], said he, before turning around, and proceeding in walking out of the room; [i][color=#20fffb]"Best of luck, Detective."[/color][/i], spoke back the professor, before disappearing down the hallway with the exception of the clacking of his dress shoes. As Richard walked down the hallway, his stomach low-key grumbled, having skipped lunch to attend the town hall meeting and speak with the detective. He was quite obviously hungry, but the considerable absence of people and the quiet of the community center was off-putting. The professor hadn't been exposed to the horrors that the rest of the town was likely facing, as he had been preoccupied with his talk.

As he made his way out, he'd stumbled over the idea of perhaps utilizing the college's literary resources for an in-depth study of the Book of Revelations, out of the odd, low-key internal obligation that spun in his stomach to assist with the ongoing investigation. He shook off the matter for the time-being, storing the idea in the back of his head, as food was on his mind, and was quite frankly tired of dealing with the investigation as it spun his mind, and made him quite agitated.

Eventually, Richard had made his way out of the community center, as he opened, and pushed through the community center's double door front entrance, and out into the parking lot. Whatever the condition of the exterior, (presumably, practically vacant, as indicated from the previous mentions of the community center's exterior), Richard made his way over to his 1985 BMW Sedan. Opening the door, he casually stepped in, and started the ignition. Richard then turned over his seat, placing a hand over the opposite seat's headrest, before inevitably placing the Sedan in reverse, and then subsequently backing out of the community center parking lot.
