Aevyrion carries herself with the grace befitting her lineage and her solemn duty; the inevitability of the breaking dawn made mortal, the visage of the God-Queen’s benevolence where her presence does not reach. Aevyrion's markings are a dull gold in colour, and stretch ostentatiously from her crystal all the way down her arms, her midriff, and her legs. The patterns loop and interconnect in delicate whorls that are vaguely reminiscent of the sun. Aevyrion's back is where the markings originate, where the primary spiral from which all of her other markings eke their way across her body. Her markings are in the shape of Priscus' largest sun, and her crystal is the center of a particularly elaborate spiral in the shape of the smallest sun. She is fanatically loyal to Amana, the God-Queen to the extent that she shuns all other relationships except with her sister Mnaecilia, who shares a similar level of devotion - and this extreme loyalty leaves little room in her heart and mind for others. Though all Paladins are bound fundamentally by the inherited vis and oath of their predecessors, as well as their bond to the God-Queen, Aevyrion is considered a paragon of virtue among prae society - born from solid stock, talented in military matters, and utterly devoted. On the surface, she seems to be the ideal prae and is regarded extremely highly in Priscus: a role model for children and adults alike, the very definition of what a good and proper prae should be. Beneath the perfect veneer, however, is a fundamentally conflicted and troubled individual. Aevyrion loves the God-Queen as all prae do; maternally, platonically, religiously - and yet, due to the fact that her predecessor was Amana's husband and Aismael's father, she also has extremely intense romantic feelings for the God-Queen which fundamentally conflict with her duty and her oath. Aevyrion has a reputation even among the paladins for being particularly fanatical with regards to Amana's wishes, and is often the one sent to act as her hand in situations where she would see her will observed. In so doing, however, a great conflict is bred within Aevyrion: She wishes dearly with every fibre of her being to enforce Amana's will - that is, her true will - but her oath as a paladin conflicts with these desires and she is bound by duty only to act within the proper channels. Aevyrion's bond with the God-Queen is extremely strong - as is the case with all paladins - but the intensity of her emotions coupled with the bond create emotions so deep that she has no choice but to hide them behind a facade of extreme stoicism. Aevyrion seems not to react to much, calmly and almost mechanically doing her duty as it is demanded of her, but beneath that she seethes with the desire to right any wrongs Amana may perceive; to carry out her will as both child and lover, as devoted guardian and doting partner. Ultimately, she has always put her duty first as has been ingrained into her since birth - though tensions are high within Aevyrion's roiling heart, as she is both furious at Aismael's betrayal and simultaneously sick with worry and love for what her emotions tell her are her daughter - and despite any logical insistence to the contrary, she finds herself unable to ignore her heart in favour of her head. The blade is comprised of two main parts: an emitter, which controls the generation and maintenance of the light provided to it; and the crystalline medium, which is used to project the light into a physical form. The emitter is largely fed by Aevyrion's ability to infuse light from Priscus with vis and draw it to her location, though it is capable of wielding any light within the area and infusing it with vis within itself. Once the emitter is replete with the vis-infused light, the emitter is capable of manipulating its wave-particle duality in the same fashion as Aevyrion and additionally is able to adjust the waveform (and in so doing its resonance). The crystalline medium projects the modified light in predetermined shape dependent upon the waveform and the density of vis infused within the light, and through alterations of these two factors is able to alter the form of the blade at will. The crystalline medium creates the blade and its edge separately, and is able to alter the properties of both independently of the other - essentially allowing the blade's edge to be created when needed. The edge of the blade is dissimilar to a traditional physical one, cutting not by application of focused kinetic energy but by particularly intense application of heat which breaks the bonds of materials that meet it. Particularly strong bonds are more challenging to break in this fashion, though the infusion of vis affords the blade an exponentially higher heat threshold and maximum thermal capacity. The blade, owing to its largely transitory physicality, is extremely challenging to parry or block in any meaningful way. The edge is the only part of the blade that emits energy through a physical medium, as the remainder is simply an oscillating waveform, and the introduction of materials without intent-laden vis do not interact with it in any meaningful way. Vis infused with intent, or materials that contain it, are capable of interacting with the blade but do not do so when the resonance of the blade matches that of the vis or matter in question.

’Resonant’ 'Resonant' is a parrying dagger made of vis-infused platinum, and was given to Aevyrion when she took her oath and became one of the God-Queen's paladins. The only particularly noteworthy quality of it, other than its material, is that it is forged in such a manner that it has a unique resonant frequency not found anywhere else in nature.

- Consummate fencing master - Extreme reserves of stamina - Extreme resistance to pain and conditioning against adverse conditions - Extraordinary vis sense (for a prae) - Extremely heightened reflexes - Fanatically loyal to the God-Queen (to the exclusion of all other loyalty) - Fantastic military and martial knowledge - Extreme resistance to psychic intrusion and any form of psychological warfare not pertaining to the wellbeing of the God-Queen or Aismael vea-Vartari - Virtually no knowledge of human or licenti culture, vast knowledge of prae culture - Unbiased towards licentia, sharing the God-Queen’s beliefs Heliokinesis Aevyrion imbues sunlight from Priscus' three suns with an inordinate amount of vis, and draws it into her current location. Depending on which realm she is in, the strength of the energy varies: in Torqueo, her abilities are at 25% strength, in Medius 50% strength, and in Priscus 100% strength. If it is daytime in Priscus, her abilities are at 200% strength. Aevyrion's vis-infused sunlight is unique in that the infusion of vis causes the light to exhibit less of its natural wave-particle duality, and act more like a wave. Furthermore, the infusion of vis and her ability to change the level of wave-particle duality exhibited allow her to alter the resonant frequency of the resultant waveform at will by altering the amount and composition of vis within any particular subset of light under her command. Additionally, due to the focused and vis-infused nature of the light, its temperature is inversely proportional to its physicality. The solid light is cool to the touch, and almost crystalline in feel (primarily due to the oversaturation of vis), whereas the rays of light are intensely energetic. Aevyrion is capable of adjusting the thermal capacity of sunlight under her command, though she is unable to prevent the rays of light under her command from being hot. Cruelest Glissade Aevyrion renders her light physical in nature and runs it along a solid surface (including solidified vis), releasing some of the vis held within the light at a frequency matching the resonant frequency of the material in question. As the solid reaches its resonant frequency, Aevyrion releases the vis contained within her light in a concentrated burst, releasing all of the energy previously imparted to the surface via its oscillation - which causes it to splinter and break. No matter or energy able to be affected by this technique - save those that for some reason do not resonate - is immune to this effect, though inherently stronger materials take longer to reach their resonant frequency. Deliverance Without Mercy Aevyrion rapidly traces a path through the air with Harmonic, releasing an oscillating column of vis-infused sunlight in its shape forward and perpendicular to the traced path itself. The shorter and/or smaller the shape made, the stronger the amplitude, and the closer the target is to the initial site of the slash, the more strongly the amplitude is felt by the time it reaches the target. Obviously, if the shape is a thrust forward at a single point rather than a path, the amplitude of the resultant wave will be the largest it can be per amount of vis used. The frequency of the sunlight released can be adjusted by Aevyrion, with frequencies equalling the resonant frequency of a material causing said material to shatter upon contact and frequencies not equalling the resonant frequency causing a disturbance proportional to force and inversely proportional to distance from resonant frequency. Prise de Fer Aevyrion uses her telekinesis to assume direct control over the vis-infused sunlight she commands, and is able to manipulate it across enormous distances. The vis-infused light is slower than its visless counterpart, and Aevyrion is able to slow it to the point that it can be suspended in the air. This is most keenly felt when the light is physical, but is also applicable if this is not the case - manifesting as a particularly bright shimmer in the air that refracts light with an approximate refractive index of 1.3, similar to that of water (though this value can be altered by adjusting the density of vis contained within). Prise de Fer: Envelopement Aevyrion directs a column of vis-infused sunlight at an individual. Upon contact, it groups around them, forming a stationary ray of light that perfectly opposes and hence neutralises the target's movements for as long as they remain within and it the structural and energetic integrity of the ray is uncompromised.
Aevyrion’s manifest state spreads her vis out wide, and wrests control of all light within the area. Then, once Aevyrion has gained control of the light, she condenses it into a miniature replica of Priscus’ largest (white) sun, which hovers above her for the duration of the manifest. For as long as the sun exists, all light within half a mile of Aevyrion is drawn into it and shed only within a ten foot radius of Aevyrion – blanketing everything except her in complete darkness. While manifested, Aevyrion’s light-based abilities and weapons are dramatically empowered, though they are no longer able to leave a ten foot radius of her. All visual sensory input except Aevyrion’s, save for the Sight, is rendered useless within the half-mile radius of Aevyrion’s manifest unless within the ten foot radius of her. The density of vis within the dark area of Aevyrion’s manifest also causes a vague sense of dread, similar to the feeling of having disappointed the God-Queen, within those subjected to it – which is typically extremely effective against other prae.
