There are no human bloodlines listed. Descendant is the name of the species you'll be playing as (or dragon). Many other things need fixing with it but a easy way to tell is comparing your CS to an already accepted one.

Most of the questions you have about the time period can be partially answered by the first pages opening posts "technology" section. It is a mix of periods but the highest levels of technology are usually weapon based and magic infused and rarely matches modern times. More steampunk.

I recommend reading the front pages OOC and especially under kingdom's within the "land and territories" hider.
