Bio: Alluring; loyal; kind to those who know him; sarcastic/smart a$$ 
Kaz Brekker grew up in a middle-class family. Had the ability to have things others couldn't but needed to put the work in for it. His father was a closet alcoholic, able to hold down a decent job but unable to keep it in when he was at home. As Kaz and his siblings grew older his mother became less resilient to her husbands ways and Kaz began to pick up the pieces. He started to rebel against his father, lashing out at him and was just pissed at him all the time for the turmoil he was causing the family; mother's depression, siblings decline in school e.t.c. He shut himself off from society, lashing out with his dry humor and sarcasm to cope. His mother, younger brother and twin sister are the only ones who ever get to see his fun, kind and compassionate side. Kaz eventually started lashing out at his public school, not being able to handle the responsibility he took on himself at home, which landed him at Miss Dawson's when he released this power in the public eye. His twin sister is now with him at the school but they are struggling with having left a brother and their mother behind. 
Kaz is constantly on edge now, knowing this place will be the death of him if he cannot get out. 
Dreams/Wishes: To learn to generate/create smoke. To get back to his brother.

Same history as Kaz Brekker. Being the oldest of the Brekker children and only girl Kaliope usually had a lot of the attention on herself. She discovered her manipulation at a young age, on a family trip to the zoo. She was watching the wolves when her eyes shifted and the wolves became hostile toward her. It was something that was hardly noticeable with the use of sunglasses and a lot of the time people just thought she had contacts. She started using it a bit more when Kaz started acting out, to keep him in line sort to speak. Being the complete opposite of her brother she generally is the one to first introduce herself, strike up a conversation and test people by changing her eye. She was always the best at halloween parties. Only Kaz reviles his true self to her and now being at Miss Dawson's they are pretty well inseparable.  
Dreams/Wishes: Open her own zoo or animal sanctuary. Been drawn to animals since her discovery of her power.

Bio: Cunning; ruthless; self-absorbed; intrigued by others and their power; "wouldn't you like to know";
A male Siren isn't exactly a common thing. When Mal found out he used it to his every advantage. He always had a sing song voice that would make anyone become almost entranced when he started to sing. His young mother put him into their church choir and he excelled in it immediately. When he first discovered what his voice could make people do he was in his room when a maid came in. He was singing and every little thing she sang she began doing. After that it almost became a drug for him, an intoxication, that control gave him. Gradually he became more powerful and when people displeased him he could make them do things they would otherwise not do. The almost death of the choir director is what landed him here. He couldn't change his mother's mind due to her being in love with Mal and firstly with her former husband; Mal's father died when he was young.
