Kacey Meredith Johnson
Age~ 29 Gender~ Female Personality~ At first look, Kacey appears to be a very cold, strict, and rigid leader. She is the type of person to ride through a blizzard of bullets and never break a sweat. A smile is rarely visible on her face, her cards are kept close to her chest, and she doesn’t trust easily. Though a criminal, she relies on a personal set of morals to guide her through life. They are basically her bible, the means by which she bases all her decisions. Never steal from the poor. Give to those who need it. Be as just as you can be. Rely on facts, not opinions. Hold life above money. Never betray your companions. These are the morals she holds above everything else, and so far, she has done well by them. While she does not enjoy killing, never doubt that she will not hesitate to kill you if need be. If Kacey Johnson is sure enough to pull her gun on you, pray to whatever deity you believe in, because it would take a miracle for her to not pull the trigger, and she does not miss. Though she has the aura of a hardened criminal, Kacey is anything but. Her exterior hides a frail, frightened little girl, stuck in the past mourning the death of her family. A desire for revenge runs deep within her, but she is far too frightened to face the demons of her past. With a heart that has been beaten and scarred so many times, she has decided to lock it away to try and give it time to heal, which has not yet been a successful endeavor. Her feelings are easily hurt, and deep down she is a normal 29-year-old girl, who would do anything for a normal life, but is self-aware enough to know that is something she will never have. Kacey was born to be anything but ordinary, and to be honest, an ordinary life would probably be even more miserable than her current existence. When one gets close to Kacey they find her to be brimming with sarcasm and dry humor, and more laid back than one would think. She could kill you, but usually she is quite frankly too lazy to do it for no good reason. The only time Kacey pulls her gun is to protect her gang and to get the job done. History~ Her family was not one with much money, but it was a happy one. Kacey’s father was a simple store keeper and she, her mother, and her sister all helped him there. It was in that small town that she grew up, learned to read, played with her sister, and learned all she needed to about life. The people in the town kept an eye on each other’s children, so there was not much that Kacey needed to fear, save for the sheriff. He was a very unkind and unreasonable man, and earning his scorn was enough to ruin any man’s life. Many a family had left their town because of his opposition, and because of him the town was slowly dying. Kacey’s father did nothing to hide his dislike of the sheriff, often publicly voicing his disapproval, much to the dismay of her mother. On one particular night, he was in the saloon talking with the barkeep when the sheriff walked in and heard their conversation, and that was the night her family was doomed. The sheriff and her father had an altercation and the sheriff promised that their family wouldn’t survive to see the new moon. Two weeks after that, life seemed normal. There had been no attack, no violence, no more threats, but the air in the town was thick with fear as people milled around, staying clear of their store and the sheriff’s office. There was a storm brewing, and it was about to pour. At mid-day on August 24th, the sheriff and his deputies entered the Johnson Family Store, and announced that Kacey’s father was wanted on charges of assault, treason, and theft. All lies, of course, but that didn’t stop the sheriff. Her father tried to argue the charges, and that was when a shot rang out through the store, causing time to stop. Apparently, her father had been resisting arrest. And apparently, her mother was a cohort in all his evil schemes, because they shot her next. After a shot whizzed by Kacey’s head, she grabbed her younger sister and fled out of the store, running as fast as her twelve-year-old legs could take her. From that moment on, Kacey hated the law. It was a vicious, lying snake that gave men the right to shoot innocent people. It was corrupt, and it was useless. Later down the road Kacey got a job working on a ranch. She was good with her hands, and a hard worker. She tried to provide for herself and her sister, often going hungry so that at least the younger one had a full stomach. She was all that Kacey had left, and she wasn’t going to lose her. Eventually Kacey resorted to stealing food and money, learning that she was pretty good at planning out “heists.” The girl had a knack for knowing how to get away with things, but she always said it was better to escape with your life than with goods, and played it safe, never risking being caught just for some food. Live to fight another day, as it were. Eventually her sister joined her in the ranks of misfits and criminals, working as a “lady of the night” at the local saloon. Kacey didn’t approve, and after a large fight about the subject, she and her sister split ways, and Kacey went on travel the world, and to plan bigger heists. She learned medicine from the Chinese, so she would never have to stop for a doctor, and she studied strategy in London and France. How did she manage to get to all of these places? Well, let’s just say being a pretty American girl had its perks. She sometimes asked for help, and sometimes those people stuck around. As time went on, she became a leader of the group known as The Johnson Gang, and that is where she resides today. She was a mother once. In London a bright young man swept her off her feet, they got married, and had a little boy. The father became an abusive drunk, and one day he came home in a rage and started beating her son. Kacey wasn't home at the time, having had to run out to the store. When she came home and saw the bloodied body of her little boy crumpled on the ground, all self control left her. The father disappeared that night. Kacey buried her son on the outskirts of London, and returned to America. She has never told anyone about this incident. Weaknesses~ Her sister. She has an injury to her left leg that sometimes plays up and can be an issue. Strengths~ Intelligent, fast reflexes, master markswoman. Other~ Always carries several weapons on her. Owns a very sassy Mustang mare by the name of Pegs. She has a locket that contains a picture of her son in it. Pic/Description~ Kacey is a lean, muscular woman of about 5’5. Her straight brown hair is usually either in a braid or left down during a heist, using its thickness to make it harder to see her face, which is dusted with freckles. Looking at her, you would never imagine this tiny thing to be the fierce leader of a gang, but in her gray eyes you can see her calculating your every move, always watching for some sign that it’s time to move. She doesn’t care for dresses, so she usually wears more practical clothing, save for a pendant with a picture of her family in it. Her gun is always in its holster at her side.
