Well Candice, 

 I haven't actually started composing my initial post. I was intending to start it this morning. It was my intention to begin the post in the same manner. A flashback pertaining to the events leading up to the events of the exploratory dropship being lost and touching upon the events that fill the space between the last recieved transmission and the crash itself. Then of course, the obligatory intiation of his own exploration and observations of the planet. However, given that you have already started your post I am more than willing to wait and see what you've generated. Please, take your time. I will start of course, but I would be more than happy in my preference to wait and see what you create.
