Undisclosed Empire Base-Time:22:34 Date:Classified The base commander moved with haste to the control room, where a unit was supposedly activated without his approval. Upon arrival to the room he was met with chaos, scribes were frantically trying to get in contact with the main imperial force but all to no avail. The base commander took one deep breath and then spoke, his voice raised high in volume, almost like a yell, baritone in nature."Quiet!". Papers were put down, calls were dropped. All eyes were now on the commander."Give me a situation report. Now.". A brief moment of silence. Then a scribe stepped forward. Judging by his nametag, which hung high on the right side of his uniform his name was Ripley."S-Sir, a unknown unit has been activated without approval. Current efforts to contact the main imperial force have failed". The commander turned towards the main technical advisor, his face stern and colder than ice. "Does this unit have a number?". His voice now leveled, monotone in nature."Umm". The advisor looked down to his monitor and typed in a few things."Unit KS-91124,it says here that it prefers to go by Kaine". The last bit was irrelevent to the commander. He simply need to know its name."Right then, get the unit prepared and sent to..wherever it is needed.""But sir..". The commander snapped back."Did I stutter? Get the unit prepared and deployed where he is supposed to be". The adviser jumped back and ordered several scribes to get the unit outfitted. The empire never just activates one unit at a time..what the hell is going on here?. The adviser looked down at his monitor once again. The mission status had just been updated.Hazard squad
Kaine
There was smoke, thicker than syrup and blacker than night. Damn rebels, always trying there best to use stealth. Kaine held his blaster high and waited. A hour. Two hours. Three. Yet he still waited. He knew the rebels were out there. Then a part in the smoke. A young soldier, barely old enough to join emerged. He scanned his surrounding but didn't see Kaine. Kaine had a shot, all he had to do was take it. His finger gripped the trigger hard and-. Kaine woke with a start, broke out in a cold sweat. He couldn't see anything, the cryo-stasis pod blocked out all light. Then, the sound of gears turning and compressed air being let loose. His pod was opening. The large door swung open and revealed Kaine to the light, the ever so burning light. He averted his eyes till they adjusted to the incandesance. Waiting in the door frame were several scribes, each carrying a section of his armor. They dropped it infront of him and went on their way.I wasn't due back for another year. Why am I on a mission?. He arose to his feet and slipped into the stormtrooper armored pants. All white, just like everything the Empire made. It felt good to be back in the armor again, but his question still lingered in his mind. Kaine slipped on the chestpiece, which apart from having a small black dot on the back plate was indentical to the normal uniform. He took the all white helmet and slipped in onto his head. He was back in action. Barely three steps out the door and he was greeted by the base commander, with several scribes behind him. Kaine gave a sharp salute and awaited whatever speech he had planned."At ease unit. Your mission is simple, you will board a dropship that will take you to a undisclosed base, where you will be assigned to Hazard Squad. Understood?". There was a moment of silence, then Kaine spoke."Yes sir". A wicked smile creeped onto the commander's face and with a flick of his hand, the scribes went into action. One handed him his E-11 blaster, while the others motioned him outside the base. The wind was bitter and chilling, snow was pilled up in mounds. The dropship's bay doors were open, the inside glowing with a faded red light. Kaine entered and waited for any other unit's that would be joining him. But no one else came. The bay doors closed, leaving Kaine in the pitch black darkness. He felt the ship lift off the ground and began to fly. Undisclosed Empire base. Time:Unknown. Date:Classified. The dropship landed on the aircraft pad, opening the bay doors as it made its decent. Kaine turned and exited the dropship, his blaster hanging low by his side. He made his way into the base and looked around. Same exact layout of the first place he was at,the only addition was the troop barracks. His number flashed it bright green above a door, indicating that was his room. Kaine made his way down the hall and into the room, ignoring whoever he passed or spoke to him. He shut the door behind him and sat down in the furthest left corner. Isolation was his specialty. A hour Then two Then a explosion erupted from somewhere in the base. They were under attack. Kaine primed his blaster and walked over to the door window. A rebel soldier, scanning the hallway with his blaster. Right in front of his door. A firm kick busted the door open, catching the soldier off guard. Kaine ran him into the wall, and held his blaster to the rebel's temple. He looked at Kaine with pale blue eyes, filled with tears. Seconds passed in complete silence. Then those eyes filled with hope, maybe Kaine would let him go?. Wrong. The white walls got a new coat of red that day. After the messy business,Kaine moved through they halls, quickly but pragmatically. He was supposed to be with Hazard Squad,so he set out to find them.
