Might agree to one more captain but no other characters (or you should know 3 others willing to join) ---------------------------------------- Hi guys, I'm looking for a small group of people for a sci fi questing adventure in the world I have in mind. The sci fi world I got thought out is kind of star trek for technology (ie stun weapons, faster than light technology, space bending, forcefields) though with a more grim setting than the ideal world star trek likes to portray. It's more of a firefly world, with a central government in the solar systems close to earth, less tight control around that and unexplored space further ahead. Humans and a handful of thought-out alien races. The story plays in the less tightly controlled regions, starting off with a ship crew looking for a new ship as the old one broke down beyond repair. From there the crew would take on missions, quests, to earn money. In the lesser controlled regions there would still be rules and guilds, but there would also be bounty hunters, mercenaries, space pirates and unexplored regions for plenty of opportunities to quest. I have several quests for the crew to choose from each time so it really feels like they go their own way. They can ferry people, transport goods, hunt criminals, look for lost treasure, grow their crew, whatever you guys fancy. I have some story ideas that could run on the background which may or may not draw the character(s) into a bigger plot, depending on your choices. As you can read I intend for this to be a long-term thing. For that reason I have a few rules. -Characters must be over 18. -I want people who will post daily. I don't require entire chapters per post, but since all characters are dependant on each other I don't want people to have to wait because one person flunks out for a week. -If you can't post regularly for a while, I will step in and take over your character's point of view until you get back. I'm willing to discuss your character with you, though. -All characters must have different jobs on the ship. Double jobs are allowed though. I encourage each character to have a back-up trait or even two and if that overlaps it's alright. -I want to create a Discord channel for the group (as soon as I figure out how) so we can keep in touch and keep the roleplay going. I need a crew that fits together. I need a Captain, which is a mandatory first trait for one character. This person will be in charge of the group whenever decisions need to be made and he or she gets to decide whether the decisions are made through concensus or not. Next to captain you can think of other jobs to be your first or second or third trait. For example: -Pilot -Engineer/mechanic -field medic -Muscle -person with handy contacts -weapon's specialist -what you think of The first three are mandatory to be covered by the crew (can be as second traits, though) I prefer my crew to be human, though I may allow one alien in the crew if you can convince me you have your alien thought out. Please let me know if you are interested in a long-term roleplay and what kind of role(s) you would like to fulfill. If the role you wanted to play is already mentionned by someone else, just let me know. Perhaps someone changes their mind or leaves the group. I could also make more than one roleplay for this setting if enough people are interested.
