~Ancient Castle: Interior ~
Katherine - Meowka - Sorcha - Sol
"Ah...thank you, Katherine." Sorcha replied. "And yes, Sorcha is my given name - I am assuming Livia has said quite a bit about me." The dragon chuckled, turning her head towards Sol. "Stay close to me little one, hm?" Sorcha said, patting her on the head as they began to descend the stairs. The descent was blessedly short, the steep staircase carrying them a floor below the castles first level. As Katherine expected, light was going to be a problem. No one had been in the castle for ages. It'd be silly to expect lit torches in an old ruin. Thankfully for them, it was easy enough to find a source of light as they descended. A few old torches were sitting in little slots on the walls, though most were worn and wooden, but a torch was a torch and a source of light would be needed to venture into the lower floors. If Katherine managed to light the torch, the group moved down into the basement floors, the small source of light illuminating enough to see a few feet in front of them clearly. "Hm...it smells like no one's been here for a long time." Sorcha commented, holding onto Sol's hand. "We should be careful though. Old ruins like this tend to attract many number of beasts. Including dragons." With the limited light, the group could at least see there was a large underground chamber of some sort, with a number of rooms shooting off. For the most part the place seemed in fairly good condition. It seemed to be some sort of...jail? Dungeon of sorts. Several rooms seemed to be small, nothing more than cells for holding a handful of people.
Explore the lower floor. If there was to be treasure, it'd probably be here. Head back up. No telling what's here. Maybe even a dragon. Probably bad to run into one of those.
Eith, and Miren
"A-ah! Right, I'll keep an eye on things here, Luna." Miren replied before turning to Eith. "Alright, Eith." Miren hopped over to the hound. "We'll looking for anything that might be records of experiments on erm...living beings." Miren reached over, patting the dog on the head in an attempt to at least make her feel more at ease. "There's a lot to cover on my own, so a little help would be nice...e-erm, if you could help me look..." She didn't want to stress the hound out, but she doubted Marie would help...as evidence by the fact the white demon was following after Luna. Marie sighed, ignoring the rabbit and the hound, walking after Luna slowly. She honestly didn't like anyone here. All of them hated her, she could tell. That was fine. Wasn't anything new. Wasn't her fault they couldn't understand who she was or what she deserved. She was PRIDE. The granddaughter of he who would usurp and kill God. She was perfection incarnate and she didn't need any of those fools. And she wouldn't let this filthy library dirty her clothes either, since she currently had no way to instantly clean herself since her mom sealed most of her magic.
Help Miren. Seems like the logical choice. Follow Luna. Miren could probably handle herself. Wasn't the first time she was on an expedition like this after all.
Maoin
From what she could tell after sniffing the air, there was definitely something odd. It smelled like another cat?...but there was something else there too. It was odd. There was definitely cat there, but there was something else...perhaps goat? It was difficult to tell entirely. The room must have been kept well, or at least not have anything that could be of more help to be identified with her nose. Perhaps it was just the lingering smell of some animals passing through. Chances were good at least, though. Either way, the kitten ignored it in favor of checking the scaffolding. Maoin stepped carefully onto the scaffolding, the old wood planks creaking wearily under her weight but for the most part seemed stable. Aside from the potential for the entire thing to come crashing down, it was rather peaceful out here. A constant, but cool breeze was blowing. Below, she could see a garden and Luna, who was currently walking out of a the library by herself. The garden itself was obviously overgrown and in complete disrepair, but that was likely not important to the kitten. The kitten's attention was on the scaffolding and making sure she didn't fall. Her swift, careful footsteps, carried her easily across the planks, and it seemed her theory that they might have a way to the other side of the room might be correct. Barely a few feet out of the window and onto the scaffolding the scaffolding stopped abruptly, an old work ladder worked into the old structure lead upwards to the next floor of the building. Whatever happened here, it had taken out a chunk of the entire wall with it, making it impossible to reach this part of the castle from the hallways. Once she was up, the crack in the floor she saw from the floor below became much more visible. The roof of the room had caved in, but someone had clearly gotten rid of the rubble long ago. She had a clear view from the room from above now, and it was very clear that someone or something had been living here recently. A pile of pillows had been tossed together in a corner fo the room in an effort to make a makeshift bed. It seemed that the far wall of the room had been eroded away as well, giving Maoin a clear view of the courtyard and an old fountain from here. A fine layer of dust on everything though, seemed to indicate that whoever had was long gone, however. So...what would Maoin do now? The smell of a cat...goat? Or was that a snake? Whatever it was, it was still there and somewhat stronger now.
Drop into the room. Looks abandoned, probably nothing dangerous in there. Head back. Suspiciously silent still. Probably not a good idea. Luna's over there, she'd probably be a good person to drag into your misadventure. Stay and rest a bit. It's oddly tranquil up here, and if you turn around there's a lovely view of the garden and the forest. A good place to collect your thoughts, maybe.
Luna, Marie
Luna, shortly followed by Marie, made their way into the garden. The place was overgrown, but one could clearly see that at least some point it was a well kept garden. A large tree could be seen on the opposite end of the garden, looming over the place and creating a long shadow over the garden. Aside from the chirps of a few birds here, all was otherwise silent as the two walked out onto the old stone path that led through the once well kept garden. On one of the walls, there's a scaffolding that looks like it leads to a hole in the wall. ...was that Maoin? Either way, the scaffolding doesn't look sturdy enough to support Luna's weight, but perhaps she could get creative if she wanted to get up. Marie completely ignore Luna, and started walking deeper into the place, and she'd quickly be lost among the overgrown foliage if Luna didn't make an attempt to follow.
Follow Marie. Probably not a good idea to be alone here. Explore the garden. Might be something of interest here. try and climb the scaffolding? Yeah, probably a really bad idea
