Christian Dahl
As the rest of the squad got ready and headed out, Christian motioned for Evan to pick up the MG and they began to make they way to a set up location. Before leaving the group, he called out one last reminder. "We'll be watching you from a hill to help if things turn sour. Remeber: Kill the spies if you have to, but DON'T DAMAGE THE DOCUMENTS. We need ever piece of information we can salvage, time is very much against us."
Lilly Jatmoore
Before they headed off, Lilly took a moment to duck behind the truck and change into one of the patchwork, green-brown 'uniforms' that Mr. Dahl had provided them. It was dusty and dirty, and she was definitely going to need another shower once they got back to the hotel to wash the grime off of her. Honestly she wanted to remain in her issued uniform, but if she was to be assisting a sniper, she supposed she should change into something that provided better camouflage. The blue and red colours of her scout armour didn't blend into the terrain at all. *** Once James reached the hill he chose for them to set up on, Lilly wasted no time in dropping to the ground behind some grass and setting up her spotters scope beside him. She placed her rifle on the ground beside her, in case of an emergency, before scoping out the area. The house was surrounded by hills, except for behind it where there was a forest. They'd have to make sure none of the spies escaped that way. It looked pretty dense and if one escaped into there, they might have trouble following them. From what she could see, the house had two armed guards sitting on the porch in chairs, rifles either in lap or leaning against the wall, coupled with what looked like... maybe one at the rear of the house. She couldn't quite tell from her angle. Eris' group would be able to determine that. Speaking of that, where were that? Shifting her position, she found Eris and her entourage setting up for a 'picnic' on the ridge. It looked like a good position... According to plan, apparently the guards from the house noticed that as well. One of the guards gestured to the other, who shrugged his shoulders, grabbed his rifle and began to approach the picnic group while the other guard watched from the porch. "The guard is moving... Distance, 300 meters.", Lilly murmured to Hunt, before relaying other information about the other guard's position. She had never seen how snipers operated before, but this was how her range instructor had taught her. It had to be close, right? Part of her was extremely nervous. She was just spotting and couldn't do anything to help besides relaying information... but the other part of her trusted James completely. She knew he wouldn't let the squad down. Back at the picnic, the guard approached them casually with his rifle slung over his shoulder and waved. "Mornin'. Nice day for a picnic, yeah?" The man, who was dressed in civilian attire and even armed with a rifle commonly used by farmers, tried to make a bit of friendly small talk before arriving at the reason for his approach. "Sorry, but I need to ask y'all to move. We're preparing to go hunting and waiting on our sister. It's not safe for you to stay here, and we'd hate for one of you to get hit by a stray bullet. There's a spot just down the road, though, with a nice grove of trees. It's probably a nicer spot to picnic than here anyways."
