Personality: Gideon is always late to class, and when he gets there, he basically hands out a worksheet and says, "Go. Figure it out on your own." When he does teach, he mostly talks at the students about algebra, and then gets derailed and will entertain any math questions anyone has, of any nature. He is an extremely laid back person. Gideon doesn't have rigorous standards, but if he says he expects you to do it, it's highly recommended that you do it. He loves to laugh and is very full of life. Gideon loves cats and Magic: the Gathering. He is always happy, except when he has to get out of bed, which is why he's always late to class. He loves music and plays saxophone. He always has a smile on his face. Gideon's smile is highly infectious, and he loves to see others smile. Gideon is very smart, but doesn't use it to the wrong ends. Although he is very laid back, his class is not easy, and requires you to get help or be able to teach yourself. Gideon is an encouraging person, and eggs people on. He hates saying something he knows will upset someone. He pushes his students to do their best, always encouraging them to stretch to their limits. His favorite sport is swimming.

History: Gideon's take: I'm teaching here because nowhere else would take me. The actual thing: Gideon went to Elemental Academy as a child. He doesn't remember his birth parents, but he does remember hopping from foster home to foster home until he turned 14. Then he was sent to the Academy. At the Academy, Gideon was always a troublemaker, activating color bombs in the middle of class, and putting whoopee cushions under teacher's desk chairs. He was a swimmer for a long time, always sprinting the warm up just for fun. Kano gave him a second chance when the boy showed up at his door years later, looking like a half-starved kitten in desperate need of healing. Gideon had always showed promise in math, and so Mr. Gideon Hisroi, math teacher, was born.
