Self-centred and one to dislike being bored, he is known for causing a lot of trouble for both of the guilds, whether he does something like vandalism, bullying, or just plain getting into fights with Harpy members. Punishments don't mean much to him, they never seem to curb his willingness to do such things, but he does hate losing and often avoids situations he's not likely to win, even if he raises hell. Though with that said, if there's some goal or result he wants, he'll chase it with a scary amount of tenacity, which on many occasions has led him to turning around a failing mission. After some months however he appears to have settled into some kind of mean older brother role, as he focuses most of his antics on Harpy Wing. He normally keeps to himself, but if he overhears something interesting or sees something going down, he rarely resists finding some way to mess it up.
History:: Born an orphan, raised by none, he quickly took to becoming a thief in one of the larger cities where the income gap was a fair bit higher than other places. The other kids at his orphanage either disappeared, probably becoming some merc or cutthroat, were adopted and went on to become mages, or left on their own to pursue magic and a way out of that life. Vega scoffed at them, and stayed to the orphanage for some time before leaving eventually when it was closed down. He became a rather infamous thief in his part of the city, honing an incredible talent for agility and acrobatics, he was a thief that many expected, but rarely were able to stop in any way. Eventually, he would find himself driven out of the city by a gang coming into power, wielding magic no less. As a normal human there wasn't much he could do so he ended up leaving to his great disdain. He jumped city to city, stealing and fencing his stolen goods, becoming a reputed theif, eventually in his mid teens he would stumble upon an old mansion. A hit was tipped here that he would be able to turn over a rare magical tome here for a small fortune, and so he managed to sneak in. The tome was nowhere to be found in the mansion, but soon he found a secret passage leading down into a chamber, and there he saw the tome. As he slipped in to grab it, the mansion owner appeared at the hidden doorway, so he hid himself away in a corner of the chamber. The owner looked around, seeing nothing, checked the book one last time, before heading back up and closing the doorway. When examined, Vega figured that the secret doorway was not possible to exit from here... So it would seem, the owner was confident if anyone was in here, they would be trapped. If that was the case, it was possible he was already calling authorities to help investigate, or some other assistance, and so he turned to the tome. After about an hour of reading and studying, he managed to grasp the basic concept, and quickly looked to particular applications. There was one that caught his eye and that was materializing, turning the magic into something physical. Materializing a sword, he managed to jam the energy blade into the edges of the door, and then pumped more magic into it, breaking whatever was holding the door locked, letting him simply kick it down. It was loud to be sure, but with tome in hand, all that was left was to make his escape. To his surprise upon exiting, he saw no guards, or anyone, just the owner, sitting down. "To think a mere thief would figure out how to learn that magic... I could pour over that day and night and not be able to use it, even if I understood it...", magic was in part will after all... What was this magic. "Hah? Well then, I guess you'll appreciate me taking this off your hands", "I don't mind, if you can use it... Just don't sell it off like an idiot. But now that you've started, I'm sure you won't, you must have an abnormal amount of desire to take, if you can use it", Vega was a bit surprised. Never in his life during a theft did the one he was stealing from willingly give it to him without a threat. "Shut up old man, I'm no hoarder. I'll decide what happens to this book", and with that he left. Vega ended up keeping the book, he was curious... He felt it's power too, but the nature of it, he needed other mages to test it on. On just another day of pouring over his thoughts and stealing, he found himself surrounded by some mages of the city's guilds. It seems that the old man had put a bounty on him. The fight and attempt to escape was rough, mages were always a problem, so thieves that weren't mages often kept a low profile, and were considered low rank targets, but very soon he recalled the brief studying he did and formed weapons to fight with, and witnessed his magic with his own eyes.
Magic Magic Name:: Spirit Eater Description:: Born from an age of war between mages, the Spirit Eater magic was crafted from the theory of Dragon Slayer magic, although focused on eating magic. Originally the idea was rather simple, a kind of anti-magic, however as that simple concept failed with each attempt to create it, the nature of it became much darker, eventually the magic become one that attacked the roots of magic, meaning it struck down the spirits of it’s foes, thus it’s name. The magic itself kept a lot of the Dragon Slayer conception ideas, meaning it can be formed and used just like Dragon Slayer magic, with the key difference that the user does not physically eat the magic, and uses the magic itself to devour magical energy. It’s semi-solid, takes on a black matte appearance with accompanying colour based on its user, and is fueled by incredible vindictive will, combined with one’s own magical prowess. The magic is an excellent nullifier, great for direct combat, and due to it’s nature, the user will very rarely run out of magical power to use, as it will simply eat the opponent’s. It has terrible range, any attempt to make a bow out of this magic to fire arrows has not gotten far. It’s highest level skills can win him a fight almost immediately without killing anyone too. Most believe it is Forbidden Magic, but it has not been properly categorized yet. His magic will drain magical energy on contact with other mages, or not if he chooses not to as he has that much agency over it. However it is indiscriminate when used against other magic, beams or energy-based magic are almost completely eaten up by it, while something that manipulates physical objects will simply have the influence be removed. The biggest weakness for him is someone who uses Ex-Equip who doesn’t really cast magic, so he can’t make use of the anti-magic. Though he can eat their magical power just fine. Known Spells::
[Tier 1]

[Passive] Spirit Thief - His attacks will eat magic, or drain magical energy on direct contact with a mage.
Ghoul Fist - In hand to hand combat, he can accentuate his kicks and punches with his magic, extending his range, and making him a dangerous opponent in close combat. This is only limited by his movement.
Phantom Armory - Though he prefers hand to hand, he can form a variety of close range weapons such as axes, swords of varying sizes, and spears, and so on. Though they are ethereal, so other than a few blows won’t hold up against solid weapons. Still he can form them effortlessly, and chain them fluidly.
Spectral Rush - A simple way to close distance, he’ll boost himself and cover himself with his magic for a short duration while moving incredibly quickly, letting him slip through huge wave attacks, or tackle his opponents.
[Tier 2]

Spirit Reaper - His infamous scythe, it uses Thanatos as the core, giving it a much more solid composition. He can do a variety of wide swing attacks with increased range, and increased drain.
Skeleton Reaper - Combining with the knife Thanatos, turns it into a chain a sickle, his solution for not having much range on his weapon. By using a conduit he can extend the distance away from him his magic will last.
Soul Harvest - A simple slash with Spirit Reaper that deals no form of physical damage, but aims for the opponent’s magic. It halts or delays any casting, and weakens or removes any magic the target has on them. Depending on the severity of the hit and the power of the individual in question, it would have different effects.
Kanashibari - “tie with iron rope”, black chains. He can entangle them around his hand to apply them on strike, or throw them at a target. The main trait of these chains is that they stop those bound from using magic. It suffers from the same weakness of his magic and that is range, but at least he can throw them for a little range.
Tsujigiri - A simple technique, basically a surprise switch between Skeleton Reaper/Spirit Reaper, to and fro between any combined with a slash for a surprise attack.
[Tier 3]

Gijinonuhoko - “Fake Jeweled Spear”, a powerful slash that slashes upward, dragging and slashing the ground, firing off a gigantic wave of his magic. This move is decently big, so he can’t use it often, but it’s a great counter to especially powerful moves he can’t simply Spectral Rush through. It deals a medium tier level of damage for something so flashy though, so it’s intent is clear.
[Spirit Reaper Only] Yomi no Handan - “Judgement of Yomi”, a single slash with an immense range, though it only strikes the target spot. On impact it has a large slashing pillar strike the opponent. This move is the first step to the Tier 4 Yomi skills that attack one’s willpower directly. This move does low end damage, but it completely stops magical flow from the struck target for a fairly short period (varying between 30s-3 minutes depending on how much magic they had when they were struck, and how close they are to the epicenter of the attack). This move is fairly hard to land, and just like Gijinonuhoko, cannot be used often.
Shinigamikokubou - “Death God’s Veil” The first step to Death God’s Truth, a super form of sorts that covers himself in a cloak of his magic. It’s mainly defensive, and severely slows him down as it’s incomplete, but besides Gijinonuhoko, it’s the cheapest way to survive gigantic attacks that he can’t drain quickly enough.

Shounetsujigoku Segoku: Chain Prison of Inferno. The most advanced application of Kanashibari so far. While open, ensnare the target in countless chains and slash them with their own attacking momentum as the chains lash against them. This move is a surprise counter-move and only works against physical close-range attacks, and takes advantage of Vega's well-honed speed to execute it. It's focused solely on damage, so while this move is always a deficit on magic, it'll deal fairly hefty damage.

[Tier 4]

Mugenbachi, Senbo Fukushuushinrei: “Endless Graveyard, Thousand Tombs of the Vengeful Spirits”, is a powerful technique where he turns the entire area into what appears to be a spectral graveyard, adorned with warrior’s graves, thus thousands of swords and weapons of all kinds scatter around. He can freely pick them up and use to fight. As long as it’s within the area, his magic will not dissipate like it does before when it gets too far from him, so this opens up a load of options for him, furthermore the area is oppressive, the effects of magic are weaker here, being passively eaten by the countless ethereal grave marker weapons whenever anything is cast. This move lasts longer and longer the stronger he gets, for now it doesn’t last very long, but it still acts as his trump card. He can also end it whenever by using “Shinen no Guntai, Shuugeki Hissatsu”, Army of the Abyss, Killing Charge.

Shinen no Guntai, Shuugeki Hissatsu: Army of the Abyss, Killing Charge, is a move that completely ends Mugenbachi when used. The thousand weapons fly high up into the air, striking anything it can along the way up, before forming into an army of ghosts and crashing down onto the target like a crashing wave.

[Super Form] Death God's Truth: A perfect version of Death God's Veil, though it takes the form of a more realized armor. The drain rate makes this armor fairly impossible to pierce with magic alone, and provides some physical defense, but it limits Vega to using only Phantom Armory, Skeleton Reaper, and Spirit Reaper, furthermore during this form he can physically eat magic with his mouth as the helmet opens into a kind of mouth. However this form is incredibly dangerous, the longer and more he gets to strike his opponent, as the obscene drain rate means he gains usage of all of his skills one by one as he lands strikes. If he doesn't manage to maintain it with constant draining, then it will simply expire when he is down to roughly his last 5%. If he turns it off himself, he'll need to take a moment and stop to do it.
Death God's Roar: Open wide and blast away. This is among the first moves he unlocks upon landing a few strikes. He simply opens his mouth and fires a blast of his magic. This move starts off being a mid to close range burst, but becomes more intense and as he drains more magic. When he's capped out on magical energy, it's a full long range laser blast. It has the drawback of not actually draining anything, and is used either as a finisher, a surprise, or surprise finisher.

[Passive] Mugenbachi, Maken Ryoutannen: "Endless Graveyard, Soul Forging". He can super-forge weapons from Phantom Armory into an incredibly powerful singular weapon. Although this doesn't actually cost him too much magic, it takes awhile for him to make just one, compared to Phantom Armory's instant and on-demand. However once made, the weapon is completely solid, able to withstand sustained combat without any problem, and even gets stronger as he strikes opponents or magic attacks, as the magic drain property is kept. He can even do it to his Spirit Reaper scythe or Skeleton Reaper kusarigama, but they take half the time since it already has Thanatos in it as a conduit. Because it is such a concentrated form of his magic, it even draws energy from him, naturally he can replenish that by striking foes or other concentrated forms of magic. If he uses any regular Phantom Armoy weapon, Skeleton Reaper or Spirit Reaper for long enough without switching, and draining a sufficient amount of magic, he can very quickly transform them into a Ryoutannen version, in roughly less than half the time it would normally require.

Other Thanatos - A magical tool he crafted himself. Normally a small butterfly knife like this would not be useful for combat, but it’s main use is a conduit for his magic. Notes:

His magic is often mistaken for Slayer magic due to similar usage and "eating" properties associated with it. That might not be too far from the truth though, those intimate with encounters with his magic often call it "Mage Slayer".
He still exercises his skills as a thief to vandalise or borrow things illegally. As such he also has incredible dexterity and deft hands, he often uses this to his advantage to trick his opponents, or steal things off of them in a close-quarters engagement.
He moves quickly, before learning magic he relied on his own body's capabilities and he hasn't stopped. Though his magic could be used as a Caster type, he melds the casting aspects with his physical skills to great effect.
He earned the nickname The Reaper for his black cloak and weapon of choice. He started naming his attacks around ghosts. He certainly took it to stride.
In a bunch of towns, he has a bounty for being a thief rather than as The Reaper, so he actually has two separately tracked bounties/grudges. Most places have removed his bounty as The Reaper courtesy of Golem Hand's guild master, but all places that recognized him as Vega the thief still have him listed.
Relatives:: None known.
