Physical Description: Toron has tanned skin and short blonde hair he normally has brushed back or too his right side. He also has a rough short beard and has black eyes that appear green if they are illuminated in darkness, several scars dot his torso, legs, and arms where he has no scales. His overlapping brown scales are rather sharp and more of a natural dull color. Build: Muscular Height: 6’4” Weight: 236 Lbs. Personality: Toron is the strong quiet type, a bit protective of his friends and family as well as other Faunus but tends to keep a cool and collected demeanor if not a bit stoic. He can be angry or passionate about the things he believes in and once he gets to the point of anger and becomes enraged there is little that can calm him down. Although keeping the strong stoic demeanor in the general public he is prone to being emotional in private and he is awkward to say the least, but he owns it and isn’t embarrassed about it. He can also be paranoid, secretive, and untrusting of new people. Ultimately he does believe that all things have a balance and that it must be kept, in doing so he has a general respect for all living things, including Grimm. He is respectful of their danger but has always wished to simply understand them and their purpose, even if others think his obsession is unhealthy. So far he has come to the conclusion that the Grimm are there to keep the humans and Faunus in balance, to unite them against a common enemy and show that when it comes down to it they are nearly the same. Weapon: leash and muzzle Weapon Description: Leash and Muzzle is a bow staff to start that breaks apart into three sections kept together by strong chains. The staff itself has very natural tones of green and brown to it mixed with the white and blood red of the masks of the Grimm. Every section does something different, the bottom portion can fire a round similar to that of a rifle, slow firing, medium range, plenty of damage, and when combined with burning dust makes an impressive explosive shot. The middle section is reinforced and has multiple small reinforced plates of metal so that they can be quickly spread apart and deployed to a sturdy shield. The last section houses two barbed javelins tethered by a high tensile strength rope. The javelins fire from different ends in off center tubes. This section is used to help tether Grimm in place while he uses his semblance. Semblance: Beast Tamer Semblance Description: His Semblance works in two parts, the first and most demanding is the taking of Grimm masks. In order to do this he must be able to physically touch the mask of the Grimm and concentrate on it. This action envelopes the mask until he is eventually able to pull it free of the Grimm, the body and mask of the Grimm evaporate leaving only a smaller mask behind. This mask is used in the second phase of his semblance. Weakness: during this time he has to remain focused and concentrated on the beast, thus leaving him open to other attacks. Other Grimm will focus on him while this is happening and it is extremely taxing on his aura. The time it takes to take a mask depends on how powerful the Grimm is, and a failed attempt will nearly drain him of his aura. It should also be said that masks can survive for 48 hours without being touched by him before evaporating. Phase two: the second phase of his semblance occurs when he wears a mask that he took. When this happens he normally falls and is enveloped in a black pool of an unknown substance, any attempt to harvest this liquid results in failure as the mass evaporates after leaving the pool. Within a few moments, again depending on the Grimm, a Grimm corresponding with the mask that was worn will crawl out. This Grimm is different only in color, the black body will have a green shimmer to it and the normally red and orange lines across its face will instead be green. Also, the Grimm he becomes will be stronger then when he captured it. Weakness: He retains limited control over the Grimm, he can identify Friend from Foe and at times can control it in combat, and as such property tends to be destroyed in the fight because he cannot control all of their basic instincts to destroy. Again other Grimm in the area will be attracted to him and will attack him ignoring others. If the Grimm is killed Toron’s unconscious body will appear after the Grimm has evaporated away and the mask will also break. Backstory: Toron and his family once lived in a small village near vale, his father and mother ran the local inn and where well respected in their community. His brothers and sisters where shining examples of the community and how things where. However, Toron was the black sheep of the family so to say he always questioned why they talked so badly about Grimm and did not respect them. His world views were not appreciated by many of the town’s folk, nor was his obsession with them. He always seemed to ask the strangest and sometimes darkest questions about them while in school. He was bullied occasionally by both family and citizens because of his views. These beatings to try and force him in line only turned from sorrow to hatred and then anger and rage. Then one day it happened, their once tranquil village turned into a warzone because a wounded huntress who had lost her team ran through town dragging Beowulf’s, Ursula’s, and Nevermore’s behind her. The huntress didn’t stop she just kept running as the Grimm descended upon the town, such cowardice. Toron had no choice, he had to flee, to run or die like so many already had. Yet on his way out of town he saw it, an injured Beowulf that had gotten pinned by falling debris. As it scratched and snarled at him he couldn’t help but be drawn to it. Voices echoed in his mind and beckoned him to touch its mask while being wary of its bite. And so he did, he reached out and touched the beast and instantly he was confused, he could feel the hate and anger and rage the beast felt. Then suddenly everything went black and he was lost sinking into an abyss he couldn’t escape, he remembers everything being cold. He woke the next day, the village had been destroyed and the Grimm that was before him was gone leaving only its mask. (more to come) Likes: + Quiet places. + Rainy days. + Being in the forest. + Reading old history and legend books. Dislikes: - Hot days. - Rude people. - White Fang. - People who are hostile or judge him. Strengths: Grimm Researcher – Toron has watched, followed, stalked, and fought many different kinds of Grimm. He’s also spent long hours reading books and legends about them, with his unhealthy obsession he has a wide array of knowledge about them. Even to the extent where he sometimes finds himself correcting professors on the subject. Strength and Endurance – Toron is always wary to show off his semblance and there for has had a lot of training with his weapon and combat. This has allowed him to be strong in both body and mind. Challenge – He is always up for a challenge, he knows when to quite but does like to have some fun. Improvise – whatever the issue, whether it be parts or strategy, he always has a plan or a backup plan that are all extremely flexible and come up on the fly. He understands how things work and knows how to use items to replace parts in most technology. Adaptive/Survival – He has lived and wandered alone for some time, this has trained him into surviving in the forests and urban terrains better than most, whether that is from stealing what he needs to foraging for it he always makes do with what he has. Weaknesses: Social Stigma – with him being Faunus and with his semblance he has never quite fit in anywhere, he mostly finds this difficult because people fear him for what he can do. On top of this his semblance makes him collect masks that he keeps on his belt and look similar to those that are used by the white fang. This in turn marks him as one to the general public and an enemy of the white fang who view him having so many masks as trophies. So in turn he is not widely accepted in most communities. Ranged Attacks – Toron has ranged attacks but they aren’t very accurate or used often enough to be very effective. Aura Depletion – His semblance draws heavily on his aura and after being activated will drain it at least half way if not completely. Speed - Speed has always been an issue with him, although prone to fast sprints when in combat he's more likely to rely on deflecting attacks rather then dodging them.
