 Kyoji stands at 5'10," having hit his growth spurt rather early, though his doctors say he's pretty much done growing! The boy has soft facial features, and if it weren't for his height and pierced ears he'd probably be mistaken for being younger than he really is. One of his more prominent features is his long white hair, but in a world where people have superpowers, odd hair coloring isn't a big whoop. He also has milky blue eyes, that sometimes have a little green in them too, he likes to say it's because of the weather or the clothes he's wearing. Kyo has a fit, athletic body due to his training from a young age. Having realized he's a close range fighter, he exercised often to hone his body to become a conduit for his quirk. Kyoji's attire is casual when out of combat or school, opting for comfortability more than appearance.

 Kyoji is a high-energy, determined, and amicable teenager. Kyo just generally enjoys people and being social, it's half the reason he wants to become a hero! While he's very friendly towards people and tends to give them the benefit of a doubt, once you've crossed him it's hard to gain his trust again. Kyoji has this strong moral code he's attached to himself and he tries his best to be good and righteous, but obviously, he's only human and has his own shortcomings. But it's his shortcomings that drive him to do better and succeed. 

Kyo is a very determined individual, having a set of goals in life that he'll try his hardest to achieve, and uniquely, losing only makes him want to try again. If Kyo gets knocked down five times, it's damn certain that he'll get up a sixth. This even applies to his academics, which he's always struggled with, but he still tries his best. Kyoji has a strong combat sense and can be a quick thinker on the field, but when it comes to school and studying, he tends to flounder. Kyo is slightly embarrassed by his academic weakness, and when asked about it, he'll deflect and say he's street-smart, not book smart. 

Kyoji, coming from a poor background, wants a better life for his family, which was a big factor as to why he applied to U.A. His ambition is stronger than ever, now that he's accepted (on a scholarship). You could say he's fired up and ready to show everyone that he has what it takes. He's a very energetic and enjoys getting people fired up, and he absolutely loves working in groups. He finds people interesting, especially if they have a cool quirk. It's not out of the ordinary to see Kyoji commenting or asking about people's quirk. Which is why he tends to be good at reading people and opponents.

Kyoji, in his deepest sense of self, just wants the best for everyone. He feels injustice in the world like a little itch in the back of his head, that desperately needs to be scratched. Kyoji wants to become a hero that fights injustice, who can help people and be a pillar of good for society. Maybe his dream is too naive? Too irrational, maybe the world just doesn't run that way.

[color=9966cc]History:[/color] 
From a young age, it was clear that Kyoji was a hero in the making. Whether he was intervening in a bullying, or joking around in the classroom, it was obvious that Kyo was good with people. Raised in a lower-class family, life wasn't a walk in the park for Kyo. Kyoji was one of three, so things were sometimes hectic at home. Having an older brother and sister helped foster his ambition from a young age. He saw what they would do and try to copy them. His parents worked long hours, his father a low-level licensed hero and his mother worked as a waitress at a fancy restaurant. His brother and sister worked too, just so the family could get by.

When Kyoji manifested his quirk, he and his father grew even closer. It meant the world to him that his father set aside time to teach him about life and his quirk. He and his father would train everyday after work, and Kyoji began to show he had the makings of a hero. That all changed when his father never came home one night, just like that, he was gone. A villain had been robbing a jewelry store when his father had intervened, and ultimately was beaten in combat by the villain. Not only did the villain get away with the robbery, but he slaughtered Kyoji's father without a second thought. This opened Kyo's eyes to the injustice in the world, and showed him how much the world needed heroes. Ever since the death of his father, Kyoji had a fire lit inside him to become a Pro-hero. 

Soon, it became time for Kyoji to prepare for his future. With his family deeper in poverty without his father's income, Kyo knew what he had to do. He concluded that he would get into U.A. and become a Pro-hero. Not only would he be able to help people and do what was morally right, but he'd be able to provide for his family. His brother and sister could finally get a proper education, and his mother might even be able to retire at a reasonable age. It was like killing tow birds with one stone. Now, all he has to do is live up to his word, an endeavor he'll put his blood, sweat, and tears into.

[color=9966cc]Personal Strengths:[/color] 
Strong combat sense, Kyoji is a natural at fighting, especially in close quarters. His style revolves around using his speed to get in close to his opponent and taking them out or immobilizing them. The versatility of his quirk allows flexibility in his style, and as he trains more he hopes to enhance his abilities.

Determination is one of Kyoji's defining traits. If he sees someone in trouble, he'll do everything in his power to help them. Giving up isn't something Kyo likes doing either, if he sees something he needs to improve upon, he'll do his best to fix it.

Kyoji works well in team situations, being the socialite that he is. He doesn't always have to be in the spotlight, and he finds no greater joy than achieving something great with others surrounding him. 

[color=9966cc]Personal Weaknesses:[/color] 
Academics have always been a sore spot of Kyoji's. Though his educational background is lacking, he got into U.A. on a scholarship for his quirk and combat ability. Because of this, Kyoji finds it difficult to not be annoyed by know-it-alls because he doesn't like to admit they're smarter than him. Obviously the one subject of academia he comprehends at is physics because he had to understand his quirk in order to use it properly.

Kyo's high energy can lead him to make rash decisions sometimes. Especially if he sees something that invokes strong emotions in himself. Kyoji isn't one to just [i]let[/i] something bad happen, sometimes he'll just react. His problem is reacting too much, too fast, especially if he doesn't know the full scope of what is happening.

Naivety is something that Kyoji still has to work at. He likes to give people the benefit of a doubt because he still believes people by nature aren't bad. He can still tell right from wrong, but he thinks that just because a person does bad things doesn't immediately mean they're a bad person.

[color=9966cc]Quirk Basics:[/color] 
Friction Force allows Kyoji to change friction acting upon himself and anything he touches. He uses this quirk to increase his mobility by reducing friction acting on his body while moving. He can also increase his traction to enhance his acceleration. He can also increase the friction caused by his body touching another body, which in turn creates heat. Due to the nature of this quirk, he is immune to high levels of heat and fire. Kyoji typically ends fights by increasing the friction acting upon his opponent to levels that immobilize them. When using his quirk, Kyoji will emit a soft white aura around himself and anything he's interacting with (just to make it visible and easier to describe IC).

[color=9966cc]Quirk Strengths:[/color] 
Mobility: Kyoji's quirk allows him to reduce or increase fluid friction (air resistance) and dry friction (friction between two surfaces) to increase his mobility. He can effectively "slide" around at high speeds by reducing friction and move on places people normally can't by increasing friction on his feet and/or hands. He can increase his acceleration by increasing the traction on his feet.

Matchstick Fighting Style: Kyoji's true strength lies in close combat, and he uses a fighting style he created himself. It involves greatly increasing the friction caused by his strikes, and as a byproduct, heat is created. This is where the style gets the name "matchstick." Getting struck by Kyoji while he's using this style can cause burns from the intense friction between his skin and his opponent's skin. 

Slip n' Weave: Kyoji can increase his defensive capabilities by reducing the friction of any strikes landed on himself. By rolling and weaving in combat, hits essentially "slide" off of Kyo, blunt force doesn't do much. 

Area of Effect: Kyoji is known for changing the friction of the ground he's fighting on, making it difficult for his opponent to move around, while he can move like normal. This skill is difficult to pull off without impacting his teammates, once mastered it will be an effective supportive skill.

[color=9966cc]Quirk Weaknesses:[/color] 
Linear Movement: When Kyo "slides" around he reduces the friction acting on his feet, meaning he can only move in straight lines because he doesn't have traction. The closest thing it can be compared to is ice skating.

Water: Anyone who uses water based quirks will be at an advantage to Kyoji's quirk, since water decreases the friction his fighting style relies on.

Piercing: Though Kyoji can slip by most blunt force, he can still be stabbed and pierced by objects, no matter how much he tries to reduce friction. 

Close-Range: Kyoji utilizes close combat, and has to get within touching distance to really do any damage. So obviously, he struggles with long ranged combatants, and especially those who can fly because they can bypass his only area of effect ability. 

[color=9966cc]Quirk Techniques:[/color] 
Burning Fists: Kyoji overclocks his matchstick fighting style to the point that his hands and or feet catch on fire from the amount of thermal energy created from his strikes. This makes his a dangerous adversary at close range. (Not Discovered: Kyoji's superhero suit will have the ability to release a flammable fluid on command that will cause explosions once ignited by Kyoji's matchstick combat style)

Slip N' Slide: For a limited time, Kyoji can reduce the friction of the ground in a ten meter radius around himself. Obviously he's not affected by it, but it'll be very difficult for his opponents to move around unless they had something like spiked boots. 

Freeze!: This is how Kyoji normally ends his fights. If Kyoji can get a grip on his opponent he can use this ability. Once the opponent is in his grasp, he increases the friction in the air and ground acting on his opponent, essentially immobilizing them unless they are insanely strong.
