Long story short, the Dovahkiin never appeared, Alduin and his brethren burned everything and the world fell apart.  Now you have to survive in a world ruled by dragons or die [s]like a bitch[/s] horribly.  The RP is set mainly in Skyrim, but could branch out to the other continents of Tamriel and possibly even past Tamriel (at GM's discretion).  For now, I only have two factions in mind, The Dragon Cult and the Order of the Nine.  The Order of the Nine is a resistance group in Skyrim that formed after the Dragon Apocalypse of the Fourth Era.  The Dragon Cult are twisted worshippers of the Dragons who sacrifice mortals to them and punish "heretics" Inquisition style.

Other factions may appear such as maybe the Companions, Dark Brotherhood, Thieves Guild, etc., but the role they play may or may not be insignificant.
