[@Dynamo Frokane] I was crushing on someone I met in school for years, and I mean literally years. He was about 5'7, but he was the smartest person I've ever met, and I'm not talking about academics. He always had an answer for everything, and a damn good one. We were friends but we never dated, even though I would occasionally ask him (and he claims he asked me once). We lost contact for a while then my defenses and expectations went up. If others had them, so should I. Haven't looked back since. Great post, btw. I agree with the author in that it's fine both women and men have their expectations, as well as take the advice that they should venture outside of their little perfection bubble.
