Name: 666-019-24731-98-Draeta-Epsilon (Just Epsilon or Draeta to non-Kriegsman, as a substitute for a name which he isn't yet old-enough to have). Gender: Male Age: 29 Rank: Grenadier Watchmaster Former Regiment(s): 91st Death Korps of Krieg Speciality/Role: Mobile assault, frontal assault. Personal Demeanour: Nearly Absolutely emotionless, the little passion in him is for efficiently ending any and all threats to Emperor and Imperium, with subservience to nearly anyone as expected and drilled into him. Description: Rarely if ever exposed his face has jet black hair, grey eyes and pale skin given only a bit of colours by dirt and a congealed mixture of sweat, dirt and whatever else accumulates under his mask. Like other people from his planet his face is horribly bony making his rather weak jaw and cheeks appear to the contrary, while his normal sized nose (with little marks where it was sown back on after a nasty fight) might seem rather big. Draeta is relatively tall at 6'2, with a thin lanky frame that belies his strength. His armour and clothing is the bad-standard gear of Kriegsman. However his uniform is somewhat tattered over his extra-ordinarily (for a Kriegsman) long life, though his armour is meticulously maintained to have a near-permanent shine and form no matter what befalls it. Service Record (History): This particular Kriegsman had the same identical life all other Kriegsman have until he was sent of to the endless meatgrinder. His first deployment was on the forgeworld that had swiftly went renegade after the influence of some hereteks upon their underlings. With both sides having massive amounts of massive weapons at their disposal the world was already bombed beyond recognition. The enemy fearing great reprisal started making trenches, and thus the Kriegsmen fell right into their niche. While at first it was heavy stalemate with both sides firing at each other from across their defences to little effect, the Imperials slowly started to gain ground as the industry of the insurgents was bombed further and further into disrepair. Hoping to press the advantage for a quick resolution rather than waiting for the enemy to be truly weakened, the Commanders ordered a full advance. At this point there were many charges with bayonets, hand-to-hand combat, friendly-fire and heavy casualties. As they began to push in the rebel heartland the enemy took on a stance of guerilla warfare. Initially effective, the Korps eventually adapted albeit to heavy casualties once more. After that deployment was done there was less than one day of wait spent only in prayer and reading before he was transferred to the next world, a jungle planet with a minor Ork problem that turned into a large one once a Tyranid genestealer infestation had taken root to distract the PDF. When they arrived it was again to find that the world was on the brink of Imperial forces collapsing, so a simple root was taken: they would burn it all down. Day by day the jungles were cleansed with holy promethium with Grenadiers as a Vanguard, Engineers scouting ahead and infantry forming a nearly planet-wide uniform advance slowly going from pole to pole. However, the Regiment's grenadiers were nearly wiped out when at one point a set of particularly cunning Kommandos managed to lure a considerable amount of the Tyranid population of the planet for an attack. Though they fought valiantly the elites of the regiment were now in the single digits. The good news was however that otherwise the rank-and-file Kriegsmen along with the Engineers sustained (for the Death Korps) rather small casualties, thus making a large recruitment pool for new Grenadiers. One of the selected was Epsilon, donning his new gear with perhaps his life's only show of pride. His third and final engagement before being taken into the new special forces was upon a rebel world in the Empire's fringes with a world undergoing a pro-Tau rebellion. The Death Korps were not wholly suited to fighting the mobile enemy, with all the divisions except for the Engineers dying en-masse. They eventually had to adapt their tactics in going forth to seize the cities and various bases that were set-up, more or less giving up with trying to fight the Tau on their own terms. Although it took a considerable amount of urban guerilla fights, the Grenadiers including Epsilon did well here systematically storming each and every potentially hostile building one by one until the human and manufacturing resources of the planet were strictly under control. Once that was done, it was not long before the tactics of the Tau were ineffective with no room to adapt. The Kriegers were in their element being able to slowly tighten down upon the enemy until they had nowhere to flee. Epsilon participated in a final charge against them which had some stealth-suits take out a large portion of the squad. Nevertheless, the Imperium had indisputable victory on this planet. Yet, far away much evils were brewing. It was unknown to the men but Cadia had now for some time been fallen and new organizations were being made to reform some issues in the Imperium. One of these was the Shadow Order which undoubtedly would notice his ability to survive circumstances devastating to other Kriegers, along with his pin-point precision in obedience of orders. He sweared absolute secrecy and all else he had to for he was selected and that meant he had a duty. Thus, he now goes into the unknown nevertheless ready for whatever comes. Equipment and Armament: Hell-pistol, chainsword, frag grenades and heavily worn standard-issue Grenadier armour/uniform. Miscellaneous: He is very fond of his standard-issue gear the he is going with and will hesitate and most likely inexpertly use whatever is not in the armoury of the Death-Korps. However what weapons and gear the Korps does have he will use very expertly to say the least.
