Her dark hair, pale skin and bright eyes classify her as a classic beauty. She’s often underestimated because of her kind face and slender figure. She was often told she smiled too much as a child. Somehow, she was not expected to be happy. A typical child of her time, Lizzie prefers skirts and dresses over wearing pants. She knows how to dress modestly, and though she does try to adapt to current fashion styles, she rarely wears short skirts. If she does, they never fall above the knee. She prefers not to show cleavage, favouring a sweetheart neckline or a blouse, and never goes sleeveless. ¾ is acceptable, shorter is not. Lizzie prefers wearing natural colours, brown, auburn, blues, whites & off-whites and greens. She has no tattoos, piercings or visible scars.
{Habits & Quirks}
Lizzie still speaks with a British accent, and uses outdated phrases or concepts. She never eats in front of others. Lizzie feels humans have become more self-destructive over the years. She fears the day when humanity will no longer populate the earth in numbers great enough to sustain the Vampire population. Not being loved/spending eternity alone. Maybe it’s her age, but the idea of being alone, unloved, a burden on society still lingers in her mind. Still, she has not chosen to take a mate. Killing again. She keeps humans at a “professional” distance.
{Secrets}
Lizzie was abandoned by her maker after she was turned. She wandered about in the countryside for months, abstaining from feeding until she was half crazy with hunger. She invariably killed her victims whenever her resistance broke and she had to feed. Afraid of leaving bite marks, Lizzie knocked her victims unconscious and cut their wrist with a knife. She has no idea how many people she’d killed before she was found by another vampire. He had come across her by accident. She watched him for a while and witnessed his encounters with humans. After a while, when the hunger became too much to bear again, she revealed herself to him. He saved her by educating her and taking her under his wing. The murders went unsolved, mostly due to the distance between them, and Lizzie has never discussed this period of her life with anyone. She had told the other that she had fed on animals, and he seemed to believe her. Oh and another, less dangerous secret: Lizzie loves reading young adult fiction and has a well read copy of the Twilight Saga hidden in her house. She’ll admit to it being pulp, but it is one of her guilty pleasures.
{Abilities}
izzie has the standard skills of all vampires. She can get what she wants by pretending to be a helpless female, in need of assistance. Men in particular are vulnerable to her assumed vulnerability. She dislikes using this skill, though. She can make herself invisible. Not by means of magic, but she can manipulate minds. People simply don’t notice her or don’t remember having seen her. This is her only manipulative skill to date. Lizzie is both highly intelligent and very observant. She is confident in her strength, but relies more on her speed and agility. Why risk getting hurt when you can dodge and punch at the same time?
{Limitations}
In addition to the usual Vampire limitations, Lizzie detests the use of firearms. She is more sensitive to sunlight than most Vampires. Even as a human, sunny days gave her a head ache.
{Personality}
♦ Intelligent ♦ Proud ♦ Generous ♦ Opinionated ♦

Lizzie comes across as a cheerful, bubbly, happy young woman. Her bright eyes betray her intelligence, and her quick wit and use of sarcasm has gotten her in trouble more times than she can count. She is a keen observer and a good judge of character and takes pride in the number of times she’s been right. She is occasionally dead wrong, of course, and capable of admitting this and adjusting her opinions. She does tend to stick to her own opinions and observations until she has been proven wrong, which also gets her in trouble. Lizzie’s a real people person. Her transition to Vampire was very hard on her, until she learned she could co-exist with humans. She still tends to keep to herself, afraid of hurting someone in an unguarded moment. She attends parties and social gatherings and has no problems dealing with the clients in her bookstore, but she doesn’t date and can be perceived as distant in close social contact. Those who do know her up close, know that they’ll never find a more loyal, generous and kind friend.
{Place of Origin}
Lizzie was born in the UK. She doesn’t know the details, but it was definitely in Derbyshire. She came to the US after WWII, with a group of people. They were separated upon arrival, and Lizzie has no idea how many others made it into the US, or where they are.
{Background}
Lizzie was found in a bassinette inside an overturned carriage. Her bassinette rested at the bottom of a pile of clothes and suitcases that appeared to have fallen on top of the bassinette as the carriage went over. A hunting party on their way home from a successful hunt came across the carriage and rushed over to see if they could help. They soon realised that the carriage was empty apart from the suitcases. There was some blood and one of the seats was damp, but there was no sign of the former occupants. They decided to load the mystery occupants’ belongings onto their carriage, to prevent them being stolen, and that’s when they came across the baby girl. They couldn’t leave her there, so they loaded her up and took her back to the manor. The local midwife estimated she was about 4 days old at the time. A day after the baby had been found in the carriage, the remains of the mother were found in a copse nearby. One of the men, George, offered to take the baby in. His wife Charlotte had just lost her own child in childbirth, and they would be able to take care of the infant. This arrangement was meant to be temporary, but when Charlotte removed the baby from the bassinette, George discovered two items had been hidden beneath the baby. The first was a copy of Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice. Stored between the well read pages was a letter of recommendation. The young girl was an orphan who had become too old to remain in the orphanage. She was on her way to her first employment as a governess, and since no mention of a baby or her situation was made, it was assumed she had managed to hide this fact until the last moment. The orphanage was contacted, of course, but it was obvious to all that the little girl was better off where she was. George and Charlotte named her Elizabeth Jane Darcy, after the lead characters in the mother’s beloved book. George and Charlotte raised her well, and Lizzie benefited from all their wealth and status could afford her. She was aware she was adopted, and that she did not share her parents’ last name, but this did not diminish the love between Lizzie and her parents. Lizzie’s childhood was a happy one. She had everything she wanted, and lots of friends to share it with. Lizzie’s parents were collectors of rare books for the British Royal Family. In that capacity they travelled a lot, both within England and abroad. During one of their trips to Europe, Lizzie and her parents met an aristocrat who took an interest in Lizzie. Being almost 25 years of age, Lizzie had given up the idea of being a desirable partner, but this man appeared not to mind her age or lack of heritage. They spent some time together, until Lizzie fell ill. Everything humanly possible was done, but nothing could save the poor girl’s life. Her parents were flattered that the aristocrat should attend the funeral. No promises had been made, after all. They were too distraught to think anything of it, and returned to England broken hearted, unaware that their daughter was travelling with them as cargo. Back home in England, Lizzie struggled with her new found freedom. She remembered that one night, that secret kiss, and then fading, dying. She was quite sure she had died, yet here she was. She could not remember what had happened after she had died, though she thought her aristocratic European may have visited her. She only knew that she had died, and now she was here, and that she had lost her taste for food. She craved something, though she did not understand what, and wandered around the countryside, lost and alone. Travelling at night, she met few people, and she soon realised that no-one seemed to notice or remember her, when she wished to be unseen or not remembered. She also realised she could hear and smell much better, and that she had become impossibly strong. And she soon discovered her strength failed as her hunger grew. Fearing what she had become, understanding that she had died, not knowing what to do, where to go or what to expect, Lizzie wandered aimlessly across the English countryside. After about 2 weeks ( it was hard to keep track of time) Lizzie felt weakened and exhausted. Her new found strength seemed to be failing her. While looking for a place to hide for the day, she came across an injured young man. He had clearly fallen off his horse, and was lying in a ditch, dying. Intending to help, she kneeled down next to the poor thing. When she regained her senses, her clothes, hands and face were covered in blood, and the young man was dead. Shocked, Lizzie ran. The next few months were a constant blur of hunger, fear and feeding frenzies. Until one night, when she came across another nightly traveller. She followed him for a while, observing, and when the hunger again threatened to overtake her, she exposed herself to him. He recognized her for what she was and took her under his wing. He introduced her to her new life, and taught her how to feed without killing or harming humans. He also taught her that both Vampires and humans can experience pleasure from the feeding. And when the second great war ripped Europe apart, he took her with him to the safety of America. In his company, Lizzie learned to adapt herself to her surroundings and how to incorporate those subtle signs of aging into her appearance so she could remain in one place longer than a few years. Time and an interest in the occult led Lizzie to Salem a few years ago, and the recent developments have enticed her to stay.
{Extra}
Read the rules, can’t think of anything else.

It took me a while, but here she is. Let me know what you think? [@Lionhearted]
Nice character! But there are a few concerns I have before accepting her.
First - Vampires have the ability to compel others, supernatural entities having a fairly strong resistance to this ability. While it's arguable that this ability could be accepted in that Lizzie is able to render herself invisible in the minds of others, it would probably take a lot of mental strength in order to perform something of this magnitude. I don't think I'll accept this type of mental manipulation since it could be considered overpowered. But you can alter it to make it so that Lizzie compels the subject to forget the instance in which involved Lizzie. Also, the ability that you listed of Lizzie being able to act as a helpless female -- I would just narrow this down as a skill of acting, maybe? For a vampire that contains the skill of mental manipulation, it wouldn't be that mandatory for Lizzie to have to utilize this ability when she can just use her compelling power. Unless you're trying to make it that Lizzie doesn't have the ability to compel as well as others do. Second - In her bio, you mention that she went a few weeks without feeding on blood, having just turned a vampire, which is naturally impossible for vampires in this RP. After turning into a vampire, the individual will crave blood and seek it out, being rabid and sporting a barbaric nature until their desire is fulfilled. This characteristic of being rabid actually lasts awhile after turning, which is why hunters generally kill most of the newly turned vampires, especially those that don't have guidance from an elder vampire. Though, you did mention bits of her having a rabid nature prior to meeting her 'mentor'. Third - Lizzie turns into a vampire after she dies, which I'm not sure is possible since the human is supposed to feed on a vampire twice within 24 hours in order to turn. During this time, the human will experience a lot of symptoms ranging from head pain, hallucinations, to the craving of blood until he/she is awoken as a rather rabid vampire. Although, this timeframe was a blur for Lizzie, so perhaps she doesn't remember? But I do think an experience like this should be very memorable. Lizzie should be a live human in order to turn into a vampire, so I would rid of the idea that she died and became reborn into a vampire.
I'll let my co-gms take a look at the sheet as well and wait for their input! :)
