Jax followed behind Morthos, her eyes scanning the legion as they entered. The smell was full of beer cigarettes and bullets. She gave the men an intimidating smile, her easy outgoing nature not repelled by men. She listened quietly to Morthos as he tried to reason with these lug-heads but of course, nothing could ever be easy. When one of the racist brutes came up to Morthos Jax took a step forward preparing to drop him if she had to. When he even reached for her Jax took a step back in disgust, her eyes watching as Morthos reached out to protect her. She usually would be offended having someone stand up for her but for some reason, she couldn't help giving an awkward smirk. She was about to interject to cut the tension when suddenly Morthos burst into flames and she took a step back a wave of heat rushing over her. She listened as she announced his whole title her eyes widening slowly as she saw the people in the room shrink back a bit, a few preparing to reach for their guns. She leaned her arm back preparing to grab her scythe when Morthos cooled down and grabbed a folder. With his other hand, he grabbed her and pulled her outside. She winced slightly his hand still slightly hot but then it simmered down to a cool warmth. With her other hand, she gave the pricks the finger and then they were around the corner. He let her hand go to soon and then leaned against the building before collapsing his head in his hands. Jax looked at him confused, "Sorry? THAT WAS FUCKING BADASS!" She leaned down, taking his hands away from his face, "I mean it Morthos. Don't let those douche canoes keep ya down." She moved her scythe, moving to sit down beside him, "I mean I knew you were noble but I didn't know you had a great lineage like that. That's something to be proud of." She paused reaching over to grab his hand her expression calm and kind, "You don't have to be crazy confident Morthos but don't ever apologize for standing up to pricks." She could tell he still wasn't believing her, "Do you know why I asked you to be my best friend. Not because you had red skin and horns, or because you were rich. Those are only bonuses. I asked you because I could tell you could understand the value of friendship better than most. Now that I know you better I realize I was completely right, as I always am, and that if I ever want to toast marshmallows I just have to piss you off." She gave him a cheesy smile as he looked over at her. She leaned forward kissing him roughly before pulling back, "Now quit feeling sorry for yourself, your rich, devilishly sexy and you have the hottest girl in the world as your best friend...with benefits. You should have the confidence of a rockstar." She shoved her elbow at him then jumped up fixing her hair and grabbed her scythe flipping it up to set it back in its sheath, "let's go to the library and check out some maps, and what's in that file folder. We have werewolves to find." She set off heading towards the library, a breeze brushing past her. She shut her eyes smiling. Ophelia may not be a fan of home but Jax adored this place. She loved 'Bizby's Ice Cream Parlor' and 'Raguel's Comic Shop' remembering the times when she would take her solars to buy some ice cream and then some comic books from her favorite tv show Robo Goblin. When she was small she would trudge around the yard with her plastic laser gun and antenna, taking on the dark Trolls from Sigma 5 along with her favorite character Captain Rigzod Rogers the handsome goblin space captain who seemed to always face danger with a smile and a witty catchphrase. She spoke up loudly, "ALRIGHT FIZBO. YOU BETTER GIVE UP AND FACE THE OVEN BECAUSE TONIGHT....THE CHICKEN IS DONE!" Jax looked over at Morthos who gave her a curious glance. She burst into laughter, "Sorry just remembering a quote from my favorite show. 'Robo-Goblin!' I used to buy comic books right over there. I had quite a few good memories here." She paused reaching the large pantheon style setting for the library, "It seems smaller since I last came here." She headed inside looking around at the large stacks of shelves, plain brown tables full of both scrolls and books of a small or large stature. She moved inside, pulling Morthos towards the map area and then took the file folder from him opening it on one of the small desks. She took a seat and pulled out her phone, bringing up the list of names and locations of large orders from the butchers. She looked at the files in front of her then scootched over when Morthos came to view the list with her. She looked up after a few minutes pointing to one of the names, "It looks like these are a match. Not an exactly strong case but it could be something." She stood up and then looked around for a few maps, pulling one that seemed decent out. She stretched it out on the table. She scratched her head, "Maybe we should set up spots to show us where the murders occurred, the three guys from the butchers and areas of sightings and see if there is a correlation? What do you think?"
