I can tell you, Taliga wasn't born this beautiful. Millions of Sterling have gone into her appearance, both in the form of surgery as well as genofixing and therapy. The treatment began as soon as her body was fully grown and the transformations were rapid. Before them she was an awkward youth with lacklustre features and low self esteem. Now she's debatably one of the most desirable women on the planet, as well as one of the most powerful. It skyrocketed her confidence too, before she was the unwilling heir to her Mother's empire; now she relishes the attention and power. She often dresses simply, going for revealing dresses/jumpsuits that are versatile enough to be worn in all of Babylon's various social climates. She is a decent 5'10 but nevertheless often wears towering heels in a variety of style to gain yet more height. Apparently it pays to be taller when in a managerial position. She has her family's crest tattooed on her posterior, literally meaning her ass belongs to the Laurent family. She wears a very delicate (and very very old) clockwork watch which is worth more than most people make in their entire lifetime.

Personality:
If you were judging a book by its cover, you might venture that Tali seemed like a warm and encouraging individual from the way people flocked to her and hung around like the plague. Not so. When in a professional environment (BESC headquarters), she can be cruel, judgmental and absolutely brutal, with powers to remove almost anyone from their job and have them discredited for life. What's worse is she seems to extract some kind of pleasure from other people's downfall, and will come down like a ton of bricks upon anyone who disappoints her. The people who flock to her do so for two reasons; the first of them being because of her pure and unfettered personal magnetism. The whole room increases in pressure when she arrives, gradually driving people either away or to within her own orbit. She is incredibly intelligent, both academically and creatively. She is multi-lingual and has a particular flair for politics, commerce and psychology. It's part of her job to manipulate people and thus has got pretty good at it in the short time she has been working for BESC, boosting the prestige of her own private retinue while ruining everyone who opposes her.

History:
It is possible for one person to have too much money; Taliga is one of those people. One day she found herself without transportation because all of the family's resources were tied up elsewhere. She ordered a top of the range hover-car, complete with chauffeur and complimentary champagne, worth one hundred and six million Sterling to be dropped off for her within the hour. She went to work and afterwards donated the car to BESC for conversion to a high speed pursuit vehicle. Jean-Pierre Laurent was the Helmsman of the Colonial Whisper, one of the first ships to exit slip-space in orbit around Outremer. With shrewd business acumen and large reserves of capital harvested from his family's fortune on Earth (yes, he lived on Earth.), Laurent was able to gain a share in a lot of the early enterprises that exploded through the lack of regulation and rich resources available to them. By the end of his lifetime, Laurent had a slice of all infrastructure as well as mining, manufacturing and weaponry. Today Laurent Holdings are so vast and opaque that even the shareholders don't know what they've let themselves into.
