Background: The son of a surgeon it was expected that Jakob would be a doctor, stretching his fathers requirements Jakob signed up to be a medic. Jakob passed medical training before the war broke out. Before the war ramped up Nelson was already in the MOS of 91B (Medical NCO, basically a combat medic). When the first casualties were reported by the small marine group already in Vietnam Jakob was trained and ready. CPl. Nelson would do what ever his country asked of him no matter how stupid or how bad of a shit hole he ends up in.
