There's already a reasonable amount of overlap (the two plant mages have very similar magic, Savo's new character will be the second Requip mage), the thing is if it's unique and does something that the already present mage doesn't already do then it's okay, just obviously don't go making the same character as someone else... While I like diversity, if you're attached to the concept it doesn't /really/ matter how diverse the magics are. Your use of the magic should have little effect on Joker's enjoyment of his character, and it allows for interesting sharing or mentor dynamics between the characters. In the end, go whichever way you see fit. There's plenty of unexplored territory if you want to go that way, or you can post up your current character and I'm sure it will be fine.
