Nadia's most prominent skill is forming objects out of ice, primarily weapons. Nadia is imbued with the cold of winter though most of that is stored away inside her augmentor. She's immune to most types of cold and her powers are strongest during the Winter season. Ice formation is the primary means of magic that Nadia is capable of though she can control the elements separately as well whipping up frigid winds or condensing water to put out fires. She can preform far more sinister acts if forced to do so, things like downing opponents on dry land or freezing the water in their blood. These sorts of acts require much more concentration and mana than her 'parlor tricks' as she likes to call them. | PERSONALITY: | Nadia is a sort of no nonsense person in the sense that she doesn't put up with anyone's crap despite her small stature. She's call The Queen because of her fearsome reputation and icy cool demeanor in public. With friends she still reserved but she warms with time and is happy to help those who ask her for assistance. Nadia is quite blunt more often than not and doesn't pull punches for anyone. In her mind only the strong survive. | SAMPLE POST: |
A messy head full of wavy brown hair bobbed in and out visibility as it weaved through the small crowds of people at the morning market. If one was watching closely they would notice that people seemed to unconsciously move away from the petite young woman. She was cute, doll like almost in her features but she moved with the purpose of someone much older. She did not even seem to notice the other people moving animately around her as they went about their own business, purchasing items from the various stalls. Nadia moved easily through the bustling market, dropping the temperature around her body several degrees helped usher people out of her path. She'd mostly figured out that trick by accident when she wasn't so adept at using her gift. People disliked the cold and the sudden drop of temperature made them move away and out of her path. It was especially useful when she was in a hurry like she was today. She was supposed to be meeting a friend to procure a set of antique throwing knives that were wanted by one of her clients. In fact, she honestly should have been there several minutes ago according to the shimmering pocket watch she glanced at as she walked briskly through the crowds. Thankfully she arrived sooner rather than later and her friend was still at the meeting spot. She could tell he wouldn't have lingered much longer. It was a small restaurant where you could bring goods bought in the market to have them cooked immediately for lunch before you went home. He spotted her quickly despite her small stature, as just five foot two people often missed her. Lyle was not one of those people. He seemed to have a knack for spotting her regardless of where they were. He waved politely just once at her before sitting down at the table he'd been standing beside, more than likely fixing to leave. "My queen, late as always," Lyle chuckled at her, shaking his head. He pulled the cross body satchel he was wearing around to sit in his lap and flipped open the top of it before pulling out a linen cloth. He set it on the table lightly before unfolding the package to reveal a pair of ornate silver daggers. A shard of sunlight glancing through the tattered tapestry roof darted across the blades, making them shine brightly. They were almost blinding when she tried to move her eyes and look directly at the pieces before her. The daggers were not what she was expecting, they were immaculate. Absolutely spotless, the stone in the crown of the handle was what caught her eye though. Between that and the twisting vine like design that crawl across the pommel and then was etched into the blades she was awestruck. Her client had been correct in their desire of these exquisite items. They were probably priceless but in the world of greedy people like her client everything had a price. That's why she was here after all. "How much is he wanting?" She questioned as she peered at the items on the table, keeping her face blank as she looked carefully, reading Lyle's face. They were friends but today they might as well have been enemies. "Mr. St. Pierre wants 5,000 for them." Lyle replied to her carefully, his voice soft. To most people his face would have appeared every bit as blank as hers but she knew better. It was all about reading between the lines. She watched carefully for a moment, waiting, then she saw what she was looking for. The soft tick of his jaw muscle as he waited for her reply. "I absolutely can't do five. The closest I can get is two and a half." She shook her head, looking at him. He shook his head briefly at her, they both knew that she would pay three and that was all. It would be over and they would both walk away happy. She placed a wad of cash on the table, "Three. That's it. Anything more and my employer will just have to shove it and do without them." She slid the cash towards him, chilling the air immediately around them until she saw goosebumps crop up along the exposed flesh of his forearm. Lyle watched her back for a moment, his eyes roaming down towards her chest and then settling on here brightly colored eyes. He shivered when his fingers brushed against her skin as he took the cash and pushed the daggers towards her. She picked them up and slid them inside the inner pocket of her black leather jacket. "Always good doing business with you Lyle. She hugged him closely as she stood, then leaned up to plant a frost covered kiss on his cheek. "You as well My Queen." He hugged her back smiling down at her. The crystals of ice lingered a few moments longer than they should have on his cheek before melting away, leaving a soft pink mark from the cold of her body almost as if she'd been wearing lip color. As soon as she let go of him she was gone in the crowd.
