The night before, he could barely sleep because of his excitement. He always wanted to be a Pro-Hero. While he certainly could have applied to UA, he couldn't afford such an extravagant school. However, even while Chihaiten isn't as prestigious, it still has a good reputation among the group of hero schools. His aunt recently had to move into an inn near it too, since she was going on a research trip on an area near Chihaiten - or at least, relatively nearer to it. It all played to his favor. It was really rather surprising, since his aunt really didn't want him to go at first. She even went as far as giving him a strict lecture as to why being a hero isn't as good as it sounds like. She had been initially worried about it. After all, her brother had died because of a villain attack - she didn't want his son to suffer the same fate. However, there was no stopping this electric speedster. He wanted to become a hero, and he will become a hero. That depends on how he fares, but he was going to do his best. He didn't want anyone to suffer the way he did when his father was killed and his mother died because of the stress that came with it. His aunt felt bad for the young boy - that was the reason why she took him in - but it would seem that he bounced back quickly - too quickly. She was suspicious about his actions, but decided that he should lead his own life. Rikuo didn't have to ride any buses or cars to get to his destination. Since they were already close, he only needed to run there. Run, in a sense where he uses his quirk. Normally, using his quirk would be forbidden - but without anyone to see, it wouldn't be so bad. "I'm off Aunt Izumi!" He shouted as he exited. He barely heard her reply as he hefted the backpack onto his shoulder. He took out one of his tasers. He pressed the button and watched as the electricity jumped from the opening - finding something to fry. A grin formed on his face before he stuck it to his arm. He never really knew how to describe the feeling whenever he got electrocuted. It wasn't painful - it was energizing. Every fiber on his body wanted to move, and that was probably for the best. He took his first step and then the next and then the next until he was running. He stowed away the taser in one of his hidden pockets. The scenery around him was going by in a blur, but he could still perceive what they were properly - a side effect of being a speedster. Rikuo vaulted over a railing as he began taking the sidewalk of the concrete road, now exposed to anyone who was paying attention to the surrounding area. But come on, a blur that looked like a human? Probably just the light messing with your eyes! Rikuo felt the electricity within him burn out just as he arrived at the station. It wouldn't be a very long walk until he got to his destination so he decided against using his quirk. As he began to walk, he noticed a male with bird-like features. What were they called again? Ah, right, the Tengu! The humanoid bird yokai of the legends. He was perched on top of the bench, looking for something in his bag. He approached the Tengu and then waved, putting on a smile as to not intimidate the man with the mutation quirk. "Heya! You look a little lost. Maybe I can help?" He offered. It was still pretty early and it shouldn't take long for him to help this guy and get to Chihaiten. If all else fails, he'll just use his quirk again to avoid being late. "Gotta head to Chihaiten soon though. I feel like I'm gonna be late if I hang around any longer."
