The drink barely even spreading a warmth through her like it used to, a feeling she missed that now took a lot longer to reach. It did help to take the edge off her shifting cramps, for now at least. Based off of the scent, Katalina could now also pick out her Alpha in the vicinity and if she ran into Blaine... well she knew Blaine would see through her and would be able to tell that Kat needed to shift, if she didn't already have a vague idea. William was another pack member who also seemed to know when she needed to shift and on occasion so could any other pack member. The pack. Of course Katalina followed the rules and was respectful to those of higher ranking, most of the time, but if it was up to her, she would not be in a pack. Then again if it was really up to her, Katalina would not be a werewolf to begin with. It wasn't up to her though, she ended up being in the wrong place at the wrong time and her life changed forever. When it did, there was a whole new world opened up to her, one that she would forever shield her sister from. Kat's sister was the only driving force in all of the things that have happened and continues to be every day. Speaking of her sister, Kat's phone began to vibrate in her jacket's pocket. Pulling it out she saw her sister's name on the screen along with a silly picture of her. A small smile fell across Katalina's face as she swiped to answer and brought the phone to her ear, "Hey Patient Zero." 'Kat... I told you not to call me that..' Calliope groaned to her older sister over the phone, causing Katalina to let out a soft laugh. "Whatever you say Miss Sicky, I'm not the one who got sick." Kat joked as she imagined her sister's glare she would be receiving right now. 'You know if you didn't ask me to call you, I would hang up right now.' The younger sister informed the older girl, reminding Katalina that she had asked her sister to call her at some point. "I guess I did, didn't I?" The elder sister chuckled, "So how are you holding up Callie? Feeling any better than earlier?" "I'm feeling a bit better, the medicine Rachel gave me has helped. Plus all the soup and movies you brought by too." Calli answered honestly, her older sister nodding. Shortly after her sister answered, she heard a voice yelling in the background that she knew was Rachel's. The woman who ran the orphanage. "Looks like it's time for more medicine... I will talk to you later Kat. Love you." "Love you too little one. Take care of yourself and don't give Rachel too much trouble." Katalina joked. "But seriously Callie, I love you. Do take care of yourself, I will stop by in the morning." The were listened as the line went dead and slid her phone back into her pocket, the smile on her face fading once the call was completely over. Katalina's mind was held up by thoughts of her sister, happy that she was sounding better and feeling better. It was only moments later that she was knocked out of her thoughts by someone bumping into her. Kat unintentionally let out a low, soft growl upon being bumped into. Her irritation spiking within the moment until she took a deep breath to help reign herself in, afraid that someone within her pack would have either heard her or felt her spike irritation. The golden-haired girl turned her head and glanced at the blonde who had run into her as the blonde apologized out of necessity. Kat whipped her head back forward and took a step to walk when she heard the girl's voice behind her, asking her why she looked familiar. Annoyed she fully turned around and crossed her arms over her chest and blankly stared at the girl. Kat took in the blonde's appearance, looking her up and down quickly she noted that this girl could have possibly been one of her many hookups but after taking a small sniff of the air when the wind was blowing the girl's scent her way... she knew it to be untrue at that point. Vampires were the only ones Kat didn't bother with when it came to hooking up. That left only one possibility for why the girl recognized Katalina. "I work at Club Black Cat. You probably recognize me from there." She told the blonde as she turned on her heel and looked over her shoulder at the vampire. "Hope that is all you need cause I'm leaving." With that Kat walked off, taking deep slow breaths as she still felt irritated and was contemplating going and finding William so he could go with her while she shifted. She may get annoyed by the boy but he made sure she didn't hurt anyone when she shifted so she was thankful for that.
