Kai --

Everything zeroed in around Kai. He saw the imps come in and he just started throwing and kicking. His hand to hand wasn't the greatest, still practicing that when he could, so he took every chance he could to kill them from afar. He was being circled when there was a brilliant white light in the distance. He sighed, [i]finally.[/i] the imps became distracted and he slipped away, running and found what he could feel from the short distance. He dropped his arm into the water and watched it rise and then flood the small meadow they were in. The imps screeched as the water over took them. Some drowned but most fled. 
He laid back on the ground and shut his eyes for a second, catching his breath again. 
There was an aweful cry from the distance and he sat up slowly. Almost over. There was no way he was studying tonight. 
Kai pushed himself back to his feet and jogged through the woods back to his odd group of classmates.
