When the mention of his mother came, Legolas was just as surprised when his father had brought it up for the first time after so many years. He looked down at the recall of the memory, even while Yavanna looked at him with her tender eyes. He looked back up again to see his father touch Yavanna in such a gentle manner. Maybe the Elf Prince was right to realize that the princess contained a lot of traits that would relate to his mother, as well as his father's wife. Maybe that was why he was attracted to her in the first place; why he was getting these such strong feelings for her. Plus, when he heard about what happened the girl's own mother, something in him told that perhaps she was right on what it felt like to lose someone dear. When his father left, Legolas looked back at the princess, having to understand her a little better than how he initially thought. At this rate, they were currently at the same level of pain and loss.
