The basic idea for “Dawne: The Life and Times of Kurosuoba” is to create and follow a cast of seemingly normal characters in a small rural city that by all appearances is fairly mundane and unimportant. The nearest comparison that can be made is animated series like [i][b]Non Non Biyori[/b][/i], [i][b]Tanaka-kun wa Itsumo Kedaruge[/b][/i], [i][b]Kiniro Mosaic[/b][/i], [b][i]Saki[/i][/b], [i][b]Gin no Saji[/b][/i], and of course, [i][b]Azumanga Daioh[/b][/i]. Whether this story evolves from a blank slate into something more representative of a club anime, a suspense thriller, or something in-between is dependent entirely on the natural progression and collaboration between two parties.

Currently this 1x1 is “filled” as [@Sola] has decided to test the waters as my collaborative partner with this concept. For anyone else, well, I guess you’ll have to read on and find out how it goes.[/indent]

[indent]Kurosuoba itself is loosely based on the rural city of Nantan, Japan, of which is located within the Kyoto Prefecture in Southern Japan. The central location being near (or part of) Nantan allows for creative freedom whilst providing a central, tangible location that can be referenced when needed.
