James left the two to chat and disappeared back into the kitchen to help clean up from his creation. A smile stayed on his face as he thought about the fact that she had flattered his culinary skills. Taking in a deep breathe he continued to work until the fingers of someone tapped on his shoulder. His body turned to see Freya had found her way into the kitchen. He gave her a polite professional nod followed by a gentle bow. “Of course.” Following her lead, he left the kitchen and followed her into the study. A gentle smile moved across his face as he shook his head. “Strictly for business, I’m sure.” He responded in a playful manner knowing full well that he would be accompanying her to the visits of the heirs but luckily he felt like he wouldn’t have to worry about her falling for them, especially if he was there. “I will get the schedule for you but first.” Gently cupping her face in his hand, he leaned down and dropped a tender kiss onto her lips. “There, much better.” Standing upright he gave her a small innocent shrug. “No I haven’t. I figured it would be best if we told him, and your father, together. The last thing I want Adrian to think is…” “What would you want me to think?” A voice echoed through the room as the door opened, revealing Adrian wheeling in a tea set on a cart. Now Adrian stood about a head taller than James with a bigger build compared to his younger butler and seemed a lot more intimating; simply because he never took crap from anyone. Stopping at the table, he picked the tea pot and began to pour the tea into one of the two cups on the tray. James felt his nervousness crawl through his body as he realized now would be a good time considering his boss would press (in his own scary manner) an explanation from him. “Um yes… yes, yes well, I…” His navy gaze turned to Freya, a gentle smile across his face as he reached out and took her hand. “We, have something to tell you…” A sigh left Adrian as he shook his head and poured the second cup. “I know you two are seeing each other.” James’s breath caught in his throat and his grip tightened slightly on her hand Adrian’s stern eyes turned up to them as he finished pouring the second cup and placed down the pot. “I’ve never seen you smile so much James than when you are around the Miss. And Miss, you surely need to work on not staring at James as often as you do. But,” He picked the cups and carried them to the two and placed the cup down in front of Freya, then in front of James encouraging him to sit. “I don’t care.” He said simply as he poured a third cup and took the seat to Freya’s left. “As long as you two are happy I do not care. And no.” His statement turned directly to James, “You are not fired.” Finally able to breathe, James let go of Freya’s hand and went to the desk pulling out an tablet with the detailed schedule of who she was supposed to meet, when and where. “I think coming up with an idea of how to handle the heirs would be best.” Adrian said, turning his attention to Freya, “May I help?”
