The Eye of Horus, a mark of divine protection. If he didn't hide his Wasi markings behind a tan powder, there would be two messages in Arabic scribbled beneath his eyes on his cheekbones that read (if translated): Warrior of the Gods. In the center of his forehead would be the tattoo of an eye, also hidden beneath powder, which is the symbol of the Wasi chieftain. Around his neck is a necklace made of wooden plates with a malachite gem at the center in the shape of a snake. He received this amulet from his mother Nubia [Reference "A Memory" section]. Personal Style: Azibo dresses like a commoner in Egypt, easily blending in among the locals. His black hair hangs in oily ringlets down to his shoulders. His skin is tanned to near brown from the sun and perhaps dirt. A decent bath isn’t common among nomads thus he carries a musky smell. His clothes are loose cotton and hang off his body. He wears a shirt that was once white and has since changed color from dirt and use and grey trousers that stop at the ankles above sandals. He will at times wear a bandanna about his head. The tails keep the sun off his neck and the band soaks up any sweat that could collect on his brow. He tries to keep as much perspiration from collecting on his face for it may wash away his disguise—not that he expects his ignorant comrades to be able to understand it. When Azibo is in his chieftain garb, one might think they were looking at an entirely different person.

Psychology
Brave * Calm * Clever * Distrusting Sexuality: Heterosexual Relationship Status: Single Personality: Azibo is friendly and tends to act like the stereotypical foreigner (for deceptive purposes). His English is good but not the best. He enjoys tricking foreigners into trying local food that while a delicacy to the people may turn the stomachs of any guests. Learning about other cultures outside his own intrigues him, and one shouldn’t be surprised if he asks questions. As long as he is getting paid, Azibo will take travelers wherever they want. However, he does protect the treasures and secrets of the tombs and ruins. Travelers could be led on a tour without ever discovering such secrets. It wasn’t until recent that Azibo caught wind of a mysterious group of travelers on a secret mission to the Great Sphinx of Giza. He has since grown suspicious of what they are searching for and has volunteered to guide them in order to learn more. Azibo come here!” his mother called. The young boy had been fighting with the other Wasi children, brandishing a stick that he imagined to be a sword. It was a cool night in the desert. The moon lit what the fire couldn’t. His mother had been crafting a beaded necklace next to the fire. She sat comfortably on a bed of pillows, her red and yellow robes wrapping her body. Her eyes were dark and lashes long, framing her eyes in the liner iconic to most Egyptians. Her nose was thin and dark brows close but not touching on her forehead. Her boy raced over to stand before her with his chest puffed out and wearing no shirt. His mother, Nubia, frowned at her boy and slapped his arm. “Where are your robes? You will get sick!” she scolded. Little Azibo frowned back and said, “I won’t get sick. I am too strong.” “Strong maybe, but a fool.” She grabbed a blanket next to her and threw it over her son’s head. The blanket plopped to the floor about him and his hand rose trying to brush the lengthy garment aside so he could see. Once an opening appeared, he wrapped the robes about himself and sat upon his knees before his mother. She finished the necklace she had been making and looped it about his head. “There.” Azibo looked down at the wooden necklace. He grasped the amulet piece; a green gem; malachite. It had been carved into the S-shaped form of a serpent. “A snake?” “Apep to remind you that no matter how hard life may get. When you feel as though you are being swallowed up, life will always spit you back out. The sun will always rise, bringing with it a new day with new troubles. You will be chief one day. Our people will be relying on you. You cannot let yourself get swallowed up. Be strong…” She playfully poked his forehead, making him giggle. “And be wise, my son.” Azibo nodded and stepped over to his mother, wrapping his arms about her. He kissed her forehead and stepped back dropping her blanket at his feet. “Thank you, Mama. I will.” As he started to run away, Nubia frowned irritably. “Azibo!” He looked back curiously. “Put your robes on.” The boy sighed.
History: Azibo was born to Nubia and Jibade on November 11, 1911 (Scorpio) destined to be a guardian of Egypt from birth. His father was the Wasi chief, one of seven scattered about Egypt. The Wasi since ancient times were tasked with protecting the pharaoh and his secrets, and the secrets of Cleopatra VII Philopator before Egypt became a province of the Roman Empire and later a British protectorate. During its occupations, the Wasi no longer having a permanent residence among the palaces scattered into the desert and have since survived as a nomadic people. They spent several centuries fighting robbers who attempted to steal from the tombs. They made exceptions with certain curators, but even still have protected the foolish from the magic and curses that guard the places. The Wasi made a living pretending to be commoners, begging for money to fund their people and taking on jobs as guides with the tourists. Azibo’s mother and many Wasi women sold blankets and jewelry. Azibo was able to save enough money to attend school, learning English and how big and vast the world really was. If he was to be future chief, then he had to learn as much as he could about the world and how certain cultures worked. Azibo became chief at 25-years-old when Jibade felt it was time for him to step down. Azibo has since led the Wasi warriors against robbers and greedy archeologists. He also taught the Wasi English so they could learn to listen for treachery when they guided tourists about Egypt. Azibo recently learned about a mysterious group of tourists on a special tour of Egypt. He personally has decided to be their guide.
