“You ready to make the world a better place?” "Ready as I'll ever be, Watson," Kiera laughed out. The joking woke the redhead up a bit more, enough so that she wasn't, as Alex put it, a "Grumpy-pants". The girl shook her head, a few strands of her hair somehow managing to get free from the pounds of gel. "I- aaaagggghhh! I put half a bottle of gel in it. This should not happen!" She gestured wildly to her hair in circular movements. Kiera could only hope that Alex grasped her meaning. His hair never seemed to be out of place. "How do you do it?" Kiera ravenously devoured her stack of pancakes, pouring more syrup than was strictly necessary on them, and soon the plate was drowning in the golden liquid."I am so hungry. Also, like, this is the first time in ten years I'm riding a bus that isn't campus regulated, so I'm EXCITED!!!!!!!" She peered at her coat. For the first time in two years, she'd gotten a new coat, and it was so warm and cozy. The blue parka was overdoing it, especially for NYC winter, but she didn't care. When they had both finished their pancakes, Kiera dumped her dishes in the sink, took one look at Alex's pajamas, and said, "Go get dressed, lazy boy."
