History: Nephish was born a runt among his clutch of seven in the swealtering southern jungle nation of Venesoom. Always a clever hatchling, Nephish sought to advance his lowly status by any means possible. He joined the Venesoom standing armed forces, trained with a spear, studied art, mathematics and alchemy, and most of all, he learned the ways of the arcane.

At the time lowly grunt, Nephish's big break came when he was recruited into a coup to overthrow the Raj of Venesoom. His talent with magic and deception proved instrumental to the userper forces and, once the old order had been deposed, Nephish was made a key adviser to the new Raj on all matters diplomatic, tactical and occult.

Things took a turn for the worst when he was sent as the primary negotiator to the elven kingdom of Asur. Stories differ on who, exactly, offended who, but the talks ended catastrophically, damaging the reputations of both head negotators: Nephish, and Prince Arathion Tassarion.

Nephish has never forgiven Arathion for the damage done to his status and, upon hearing of his current venture into Adarla, Nephish convinced the Raj, with some effort, to let him and a contingent of naga soldiers aid the revolutionaries and strike a blow agains the elves by proxy.

Personality: Nephish is a talkative and lively sort, always prepared with a sharp tongued retort. He enjoys life immensely and wants everyone to know it, sporting a lavish and decadent outfit and flaunting his possessions. His laugh is loud and frequent, as he has a rather cruel sense of humor. 

Beneath the veneer of hedonism and crassness, however, lies a calculating, condescending, and bitter schemer with grand ambitions of conquest. He greatly resents anyone trying to hold themselves above him and believes that those without sufficient cunning and mental flexibility should simply get out of his way.

The one exception to this is the current naga Raj, Imugi. Nephish considers Raj Imugi to be a dear friend and will do everything in his power to ensure that his reign continues smoothly.

Powers: Nephish is incredibly skilled in a variety of magical styles, preferring Divination, Shapeshifting, Telepathy and Necromancy generally. As a naga, he is also highly venomous.
