That was not a pleasant way to wake up.

Kailani grumbled on the ground of [i]The Coral Skipper[/i], feeling the bottom of the hammock she was sleeping in rest against her back from its abrupt adventure being upended, along with her. She was having such a nice nap too, sleeping in the constant sunlight peeking out from the friendly, fluffy white clouds.

Plus she was still a bit sore from the day her and Siobhan had braved the Ka Li’Ai.

[color=DeepSkyBlue]”Why am I a porky pine?”[/color] The sun-kissed girl finally asked as she rolled away from underneath the hammock to sit up. She tilted her head, strands of dark brown filling her vision before she blew them away. [color=DeepSkyBlue]”... Wait, land?!”[/color]

An excited squeal erupted from Kailani and in an instant she was on her feet, going right to the rail of the little fishing boat to try and catch sight of the approaching land, not quite able to catch sight of it yet. Siobhan was good company and all, but she was finally going to see more of this world outside of Pekelo Island! Though she’d never get tired of the rolling white waves either, there was something [i]exciting[/i] about finally being able to see their settlements, and the people that inhabited it!

Abruptly she left the side of the boat to go to her little box of supplies, digging through it.

[color=DeepSkyBlue]”You said people here like gold, right? Maybe I can buy some clothes with some of my ornaments, even if your style seems a little bit odd – eh?”[/color] Chocolate orbs widened as Kailani looked to Siobhan, just gaping for a moment.
