Back for more
Revenant Maintenance tunnels: Several weeks ago Bloody Hell this wirin' is almost ancient Benny thought to himself as he attempted to replace the burnt out parts from the explosion that rocked their ship. The area was generally powered down for the replacements so he hadn't bothered putting on his Specialist Suit for protection. He would come to regret that as suddenly a loud whirr resonated across the maintenance access tunnels as a surge of electricity shorted out the overhead lights, and the newly replaced wire he was holding suddenly sparked with electricity. "G-G-G-AAA-AAA-AHH". Pain shot through his whole body before the wire panel exploded and shot him backwards flat onto the tunnel, and then all he knew was darkness.
There was a sensation of falling, falling through a black void. Any and all attempts to find something to hold onto was futile, there was nothing here. At least, until the falling suddenly stopped and Benny was wracked in pain as he felt like he had smashed into a solid surface. He just lay there, writhing not sure for how long. And then there was a new sensation He felt like he was being dragged. No, carried? It was difficult to tell, some invisible force was moving him through the void. Images flashed into being in the blackness of it all. A dark tunnel with red emergency lights, silhouettes and shadows of people surrounding him, voices talking, perhaps shouting. Then the force disappeared and he fell again, but the landing was much softer this time. He blinked once, and suddenly he was home Or at least a place that felt like home? The place he was in looked nothing like the house his family lived in at their colony, but some part of him asserted that this was home, and he was compelled to agree. The house was cozy enough. His sister told him he needed rest. He wasn't sure why, he felt just fine, yet she insisted on it. And there was also some strange, flying robot inside their home, it looked like a storage drone of some kind. Yet he felt no need to question any of this, it all felt normal to him. Then he walked back towards his room and was once again surrounded by blackness. A sharp pain shot up his right wrist. A Hook? A wire? Something being injected into it? He could not tell, but it was painful. He wanted to shout at the sensation but he could not bring himself to make a sound. More sharp pains, across different part of his body, arms, legs, even his head. And then there was the pulling. everywhere he felt the sharp pain there was as pulling sensation, trying to drag him into different directions of the void. Voices surrounding him.. Concerned? Angry? Disappointed? Perhaps it was all of these. Though he could not understand why when he was already being pulled everywhere against his will. Another sharp pain, and the hooks or wires holding him suddenly detached. Another falling sensation. Like a puppet cut from its strings He fell into, water? There was a splash, a cold sensation and a feeling of being unable to breathe. He swam upwards to break the surface, following the light of the sun above the water surface. He could see the ruins of some great ancient city underneath the water, yet the architecture looked modern? He didn't pay much attention. He had to get to the surface before he ran out of air. Yet, he did not feel like he was suffocating just yet, despite how long he had been swimming. He took a deep breath as he broke the surface and looked around. The sun shone brightly on the water, reflecting light around him. The ocean was vast, and he could see some islands in the distance in different directions. He wondered which direction he should head in, but before he could decide a powerful current suddenly carried him across the open waters. He was dragged far across as he tried to swim, the current would change direction with his movements, sending him further than he intended, and he was having a difficult time directing his movements. But there was more movement in the water, in the distance. It was a silhouette he could not quite make out as he was being pushed around, but he understood it as it got closer. It was a large sea turtle of some kind. Green and scaly as it swam easily through the waters. Being pushed around by the current, he needed something to hang on,and something told him that the turtle would take him in the right direction. So as the creature passed by, he stretched out an arm and grabbed onto the shell. He was expecting it to be slippery and hard to hold onto, but for some reason, his hand was secured easily as it made contact with the shell, and he managed to quickly pull himself onto its back. He was worried the turtle would be unable to support both their weights, but to his surprise it swam no slower than before, and they found themselves racing through the waters, passing by several islands with palm trees around them. The open waters now felt much more exhilarating rather than daunting, and he found himself relaxing as he adjusted into a lying position on his back, pressing against the surprisingly comfy turtle shell as he stared up into the white sun.

The light was blinding him and he had to blink several times before he could properly see around him. He was in a room of some kind. There was talking, around him. Strange alien language or some gibberish. He could also hear the whirring of mechanical systems. Ship systems? Some kind of medical device? He couldn't quite tell. He tried to look around and saw a short alien with strange, large round eyes, and a larger more threatening looking alien wearing armor. He thought he had been abducted and was being experimented on. He wanted to shout out to them but he couldn't make a sound, he couldn't move either, he could only use his eyes. There was another abduction victim it seemed, a woman on a bed nearby. She had several wires sticking out of her body, same as he did. She looked familiar somehow, A name was on the tip of his tongue. Something with an "S". Sally? Serena? Shirley? Sandra? Sandra sounded fitting for some reason. He felt a tinge of annoyance at remembering the name, but also... Excitement? Annoyed and excited was an odd feeling and he couldn't quite place why he felt that upon remembering her name. Was it her name? The smaller alien approached him and seemed to be doing something with the holographic device nearby. A strange floating machine was accompanying it, floating above the ground with whatever technology it ran on. The small alien said a few more unintelligible things and approached him, something seemed familiar about the smaller alien. Maxi. That was another name that popped in his head, but he couldn't quite place why. Yet this alien made him remember it, and felt compelled to trust them... whatever they were trying to say. The bigger alien also started feeling a bit more familiar, as if he had met them before. Something told him the bigger one was the leader of the vessel he was on. He blinked, and suddenly the bigger alien was gone, yet the smaller one was still in the room, but this time in a completely different part of it, as if he had teleported across the room somehow. The flying drone was still following it. Benny tried to move once again but felt that he couldn't. Another blink, and the alien and drone teleported once again, doing something on a nearby table. He could smell the familiar scent of medicinal chemicals for the first time since his abduction. Another blink, the alien was gone this time, but the room was still there, and so was Sandra on the other table. Was there a turtle in the corner of the room? He felt the room shake around him as if hit with an earthquake or explosion, the sounds continued before abruptly stopping.
Revenant Medbay: 27 days later With another blink he found that he could move again. The small alien was still nowhere to be seen. He tried to get up, but the wires around him were holding him down. His first instinct was to break free and escape the alien ship, but he still felt too weak for that. Moving was painful, and in hindsight it was probably best not to mess with the medical devices attached to him. So he simply lay there, feeling tired and wanting to go back to sleep. He wasn't sure if he had drifted off but the atmosphere in the room shifted. He couldn't tell how exactly but things felt different. He attempted to move his head to look around and saw that the woman was no longer in the bed. He heard a noise of some kind below him, and attempted to investigate. The sight to greet him was disturbing in normal circumstances, and completely horrifying to Benny in his already paranoid state. The woman he knew as Sandra was still in the room, but she was on the floor at the base of his bed, with an unnervingly large pool of blood gathered underneath her. His first thought was that he should call for help, then he remembered that he was still on an alien vessel that seemed oddly familiar. So his next thoughts were of escape. Throwing caution to the wind he decided to try detaching the tubes attached to his right arm, and planned to pull himself off the bed to try and escape whatever danger befell the woman. Moving was more difficult than he thought however, and he felt great pain as he yanked his right arm to remove the tubes before turning to see if there was anything attached to his left arm, only to realize it wasn't there. In a frenzied moment of panic, he thought that his abductors amputated his left arm, but then memories came back to him. Something about a skeleton, or skeletal arm, then it clicked that he was supposed to have a bionic arm there. With that realization, came more memories in his pain-wracked state. The woman lying near him in a pool of blood was a teammate of his. With that, he tried to pull himself off the bed to escape. In the middle of his painful haze, where he realized that he was also beginning to bleed from the holes left behind by the tubes attached to him, he figured that perhaps the woman could help him get up if she were still alive, if only he could stop her bleeding. He made an attempt to crawl towards her, which was already a difficult feat with only one hand, but between the blood-loss, the pain, and the mental stress of his situation, unconsciousness once again overtook him on the cold floor where he would continue to lay. At least until someone saw the mess they were making on the cameras and came down to investigate.
[@Mackielars][@Crossfire]

This is mainly to just confirm them back and... figuratively, on their feet :lol. Mackielars and I will still be writing about Benny and Matija's recovery prior to the end of the timeskip, so that they'll be ready to go by the time the next big adventure rolls around
