Despite the worries of his Rau'va caretakers and the stares of Ascendency citizens, Terry adamantly refuses to get his burn scars removed, viewing them as a mark of pride, shame, and hatred all in one. To compensate for this he has taken to wearing heavy clothing and wraps, prefering the inquisitive stares of strangers than the compassionate stares of the Rau'va or gawking of other humans. Otherwise, he looks as much as himself as he ever has, a 6'0 wall of honed muscle and bone. Important items: Kay's Axe- A standard issue, military-grade hatchet covered in knicks and scratches despite the obvious care that Terry puts into its maintenance. Belonged to Kay and was given to Terry when she wished to stay behind, a combination practical gift and promise. Wraps- Terry has an aversion towards his flesh being seen. Part of it is to spare others the image of his ruined flesh, but mostly it's because Terry cannot stand to look upon himself. To ensure neither happen, Terry wraps himself in heavy gauze just to go through his day to lighten his mind. Easier to forget than to confront. Ballistics Vest- An undershirt of soft but tough materials surrounding a core of armored dura-ceramic plates that can withstand a few pistol shots. Heavy Stubber, Surplus Grade- A tried and true engine of human conflict, the heavy stubber is a simply designed light machine gun that Terry's enhanced strength allows him to carry as if it were a mere rifle. It isn't the best thing on the market but it's cheap, reliable, and unless the target is backing military grade protection or magic, it'll get the job done. Nemesis Caduceus Glove- Held within an alloyed brace is every tool needed to save a life, though it was rarely used to do so. A Caduceus Glove is an item of triage, using a saw blade and drill to render armor open and get to the person beneath it before they die. The Nemesis versions were given to those combat medics who either went above and beyond the call of duty or were "lucky" enough to be in the special forces, enchanted with potent healing magic and equipped with the tools needed to work around the wounds caused by High magic... if the person was worth the effort at least. More often then not the Nemesis Caduceus Gloves were used to quickly kill those beyond saving and messily dispatch those who thought they could hide behind armor. Short Bio: Terry's life began quietly, humbly, and happily. Born on Hestia Prime, a colony world towards the borders of Ascendency space, Terry was fairly blind to the inner workings of the Ascendency, only knowing them as the government that bought most of the crops his family harvested that season and kept the "Bad Aliens" away. It didn't really matter to Terry, all that talk was too big for a farmboy on a backwater Agri-world like Hestia Prime to worry about... so he didn't. Instead, he focused on excelling at his studies and sports, particularly football. As fate would have it, however, the Acedency did in fact look at its backwaters and found them easy pickings, the exceptional standing out like wildfires while extraction became a very low-risk operation. And so it was, Terry and the countless other backwater children were rounded up, divided by their specialization, and separated. Terry was sorted into the combat medic program and actually went through the injections and surgeries relatively unscathed, his life of farmwork and sports helping him along. He did everything he could to salve the situation for the younger ones, standing as a rock that they could cling to in this storm. It wasn't until triage training that Terry crumbled. Something went wrong with Terry's batch and across the board, they lost their affects, suppressed their personalities, and gained a willingness to do whatever was told of them. Their branch of the program was deemed a failure, the group were not the compassionate combat medics who would run through the fires of hell to save a comrade, instead, they were soulless automatons who did whatever they were told. In fact, it was considered a positive turn in their projects development when a squad of "Terry's Batch" were ordered to execute Rau'va POWs and they did so without flinching. Terry and his batch were redirected in their training and enhancements, becoming tougher and stronger as the learned how to make the wounds they so desperately fought to heal before. Time advances and Terry has gained some atrocities under his belt as well as a conscience nibbling at the back of his skull, and then Proxima happens and everything comes to a head. To make a long, grueling story short, Terry walks out of an inferno carrying the one person he cares about in the universe, currently dying in his arms as he burns alive. Then things progress much as they have with all the other children, so much crying and holding and screaming. Yet when it was all said and done, it wasn't enough and the newly freed Terry found himself drowning in his rage, soon after he decided that something as cruel as the Ascendency doesn't deserve to live and when pardons came around he refused and joined with several others who had similar sentiments. Spell List: Regeneration Inducement (Change): Allows Terry to induce rapid healing in others and himself. He must take heed of the injuries before initiating regeneration as wounds may heal improperly, painfully, and disfiguring. Closing up minor wounds takes a matter of seconds depending on size and seriousness, major traumas can be dealt with in minutes as long as the subject stays alive, and limbs can be replaced in days if in constant contact. Empathy Sense- Pain (Mind): Terry can feel the pain of others and pinpoint their locations from it, in theory, it was to make him a better combat medic but the reality of it broke his mind for the duration of the war. Terry feels all of their pain when he senses it, forgettable if all he needs to deal with is a paper cut, crippling if your legs have been blasted off. Exceptional Skill List: Exceptional Medicine Exceptional Strength Exceptional Will Exceptional Marksmanship
