Accidentally got an earworm of an idea so I made her instead of doing my actual homework :V

[b]Weapons:[/b] Knife – Pari has basic training, and can use it well in concert with her abilities. She is not, however, going to be able to stand up to any well-trained fighter with just her weapon – hell, she’s not even armored. 
[b]Abilities:[/b] Ice mage – Using the water surrounding all of us, Pari is capable of the creation of projectiles, walls, ice slicks, etc. Water vapor allows for creation of small things – balls of ice, darts, ice shields, etc.. with the availability of more water (her waterskin, nearby bodies of water), Pari is capable of much larger projects. She has no control over water in its liquid form, but can change it to ice without effort. While Pari is often capable of sensing individuals due to the water within them, it has not yet crossed her mind that freezing the water in their bodies might be a possibility, and she would be highly unlikely to do so, regardless (but if she becomes demon possessed I’m totally gonna be doing that).  

She can create almost no additional ice than the water around her btw; it’s more of a Waterbender (Avatar) vibe than something like Frozone (Incredibles).

Pari is, if nothing else a dreamer. She envisions a future where someone finds a cure for Blighted individuals, and mages can once again live free of oppression, openly benefiting the people of Avalon once more. Expect the crushing weight of reality to change her; be it for the better or not. 

[b]Short Biography:[/b] Pari comes from a line of secret mages dedicated to preserving their art. Her parents began training her in an old abandoned mine when she was 11, finding out what powers flowed through her, trying different catalysts, until ice abilities began to develop, her catalyst at the time an old wand (her father was capable of boosting his sight to amazingly microscopic levels, her mother of a variety of learned spells, mostly cantrips). They taught her old rituals to the Old (or “false”) Gods, in the hope that that would protect her from the demons, as it had for them so far. 
As she was doing all of this underground, she was also learning how to be jeweler, the family trade. In her work for the family, she eventually came across a chunk of turquoise that she felt incredibly drawn to. Unable to bring herself to refine it, she made it into a ring as the chunk was, demanding of her parents that that become her new catalyst. And so she lived this double life happily for many years.
Eventually, though, Pari grew tired with hiding her powers entirely. Both her parents were able to still utilize their magic without drawing any attention to themselves – it fit into their daily activities. But her? What use was ice as a jeweler? And what use was hiding her abilities when she could be of use to others, and rehabilitate magic? When the call from House Caerlight came, she saw her chance to do something real with her abilities, in the service of the very Lord who so feared mages. 
Her parents, of course, are convinced that this is nothing more than a trap for all the eager young mages like her, and just desperately want her to marry the nice boy from another secret mage family that works in the bank a few blocks down.
