[i]'Of course'[/i] Professor Eugene thought to himself. Rin grew up with Ms. Mary after all. Of course they would choose a water type. Fortunately for that Liz girl, neither Pokemon would be able to start right out with any specialty typed moves. In other words, the Tododile wouldn't yet know how to use any water moves against the Chimchar. So for now, their battle could go either way. 

The professor chuckled to himself as Rin ran out the door after their opponent. Once they were gone however, it was back to work. After all, it's not like labs take vacations in between visits from Pokemon trainers. There is always more work to be done.
