While he knew that he, himself, would be entirely fine with seeing if she would turn or she turn out to be one of the Infected - but to see this leader do it... it felt wrong. He let his pipe hang on his shoulder as he watched. He was in rather close proximity with the waitress since he was close to Nunchuks himself. Seeing one gesture from Nunchuks - placing two fingers to his forehead - made him understand. He stepped away from the woman who was thanking him profusely before the gunshot echoed around the room. He saw that the spider girl looked frightened and didn't understand while the new girl jumped a bit but understood it. Since he saw it coming, there was little reaction coming from him - none of which could be seen. He did feel sorry for the woman. But, what must be done must be done. He knew that all too well. Unfortunately. Jonathan looked back at the leader - his eyes devoid of trust. To think that they've been lying to the people. But it also meant that they wouldn't cause a panic. Jonathan forgot that that was one of the requirements of running a proper government. He wondered what would have happened should anyone have seen the dead bodies inside - aside from them at least. Jonathan was already used to it so it's not like he would suddenly just run out screaming that they weren't safe or whatever. He wondered how the others would react to this. He was more than willing to keep it as their own wrapped up little secret. He didn't mind it. Not anymore. But his heart still went out for that waitress. Poor girl. But at least she went off with a positive thought in her mind. But then Nunchuks suggested something - no, ordered them to do something. An investigatory job? He wondered how hard this would actually be. Keeping it under wraps would be hard because it means they can't go around asking people about it. Jonathan rubbed his masked chin and then nodded. "Sure, why not?" It wasn't like they had any choice. He could bet his trusty pipe that they wouldn't respond too kindly - and that they would follow the waitress if they ever refused. Fine by him, he wanted to find out who was going around killing people willy nilly. This was part of his job before - even if he was a killer himself. Spider girl asked an innocent question at first - but then turned murderous. He looked at her oddly, not that she could see, for a while before shaking his head ever so slightly. It didn't matter. As long as they could work together, it should be fine. He didn't mind being thrown with a bunch of people he didn't know. Jonathan was pretty used to it - especially after the apocalypse. Then, the new girl stepped up. Honey. What a nice name. He missed honey too - the sweet taste of it. Jonathan absentmindedly tugged on his mask which couldn't be removed without causing either his death or extreme pain - unless removed surgically. Since no one else was stepping up for now, Jonathan cleared his throat - the robotic tone becoming more apparent when he spoke. "Jonathan McCallen. Uh, some people call me Johnny." As expected, there was no emotion in his voice as he spoke - just a simple computer-generated voice speaking for him. He couldn't open his mouth, after all. He supposed he should explain that. "I can't speak, so I have a voice modulator. Sorry if I can't talk with emotion. Robots don't have it after all, so this thing can't do it either." He pointed to his throat where the modulator was installed. He wasn't sure how it worked, but as long as it worked, then it was fine for him. "Nice to meet all of you. Hope we can all work together well." He then stepped back, holding his pipe with his two hands behind his back as he waited for the others to introduce themselves as well - or react to him.
