Bastian was about to protest the arrival of the man on the horse when a second man appeared also vying for his patient's attention. The second one claimed to be the son of Lord Bryce. Bastian wasn't aware that Bryce had a son. Then again, he was a relatively new addition to Milborne. Regardless of who these men were they were interfering with his work.

Before Bastian could tell the men they would simply have to come back later, Lorenzo invited Bastian inside. Bastian entered the cottage, but did not go find a seat. Instead he took position behind Lorenzo. These intentions of these men were unknown, so Bastian decided it would be best to remain nearby just in case.
