[@Foster]
Yeah, see. On Point 1, I was hearing that we were fighting near rock pillars and the like... i heard some reference to a facility, but I didn't know where it was, what it was doing, I knew nothing. ANd I didn't want to just set it all up for the rest of the RP cause I'm not the gm, my character isn't one of the command staff. Point 2- well, far as I can tell, BT is pretty damn intelligent. I don't know how deep the AI is for BT, but he did show some amount of growth, of learning, and of humanity. And when he got his arm torn off, he kept going, without 'screaming.' He got his entire body torn apart, and he kept his cool and outplayed his enemy anyways- had a human had all his arms torn off, even feeling half the pain a normal person would, we'd just be out cold, or dead. It doesn't make any sense, in my mind. And for that matter, why is someone who is so intelligent as to create AI and advanced systems to bring the AI to an entirely new, unprecendented level, working as a commander, on the field, rather than being reassigned to tech duty? I mean, it's a unique character concept, but I was iffy with it to begin with because it wasn't a "soldier" or a "officer" character. And that's what Pilots are. They're soldiers and officers- their singular goal and purpose is to fight. Not weld stuff together. Thanks for the well-wishing. I know being this nitpicky aggravates a lotta people, but I just like things making sense.

ummm for point number 1...confused myself as for point number 2 - its a feedback loop. To allow for more flexibility one would have to supply extra sensors. However, there is a loop in the circuitry in case a section of sensors were lost. As such this 'feedback' is generated and is interpretted to be 'pain'. As it an AI, it doesn't experience true pain, just this imitation of pain. Was my thought at least...though I did write that post when I was half-asleep...
