Sabine could not see Do'rhajul's face. She answered with a sudden passion. "I can ask it because [i]you[/i] are not a monster, Ri'vashi!" For a moment, Sabine stopped to keep the tears in her eyes. She looked momentarily surprised at how loudly she spoke. Nevertheless, she continued. "But I am afraid you will become one if I leave Rhajul to you. I am sorry. I cannot bring them back. Rhajul cannot take back what he did." Sabine bared her teeth. "But he lost all the things you did, Ri'vashi. He lost everyone he loved and everything he built. And what he did to try and get them back was out of the same rage that you are feeling. So I want it all to stop. No more killing because of the pain. That is how I can ask this of you, Ri'vashi. I do not want you to become him." Sabine let the words sink in. Her attempt to keep her anger and sadness hidden failed on her face, as hard as she tried.
