WIP
童 氷霧
(Warashi Hyoumu) Apparent Age: 23 Age: 437 Occupation: Omyodo Priest Kaifuku Role: Priest Mundane Identity: Same Name Race: Yukinko What becomes of a Yunkino is shrouded in mystery. The life of the Yuki-Onna and her child is not one relatively known to Japanese folk. Their tales tell stories of Yuki-Onna being merely a heartless woman, who kills men and uses sex to drain them of their life force. She is often depicted as an evil entity seeking out the destruction of lost travelers or Mundane mortals who built homes in her icy territories. A spirit of winter she is often accused of all the destruction Winter causes Mortals. But what if the stories were wrong about the onba and her children? Reality is that Mundane folks never know when they are building a home too close to the thinning of the spiritual world. Where beings like Yoki-Onna and other Ayakashi and Yokai traverse between the Mundane and Spirit worlds respectively. In truth Yoki-Onna are extremely protective parents, who do not like Mundane people stumbling to close to where they bare their children. Often choosing to killing Mortals or frightening them in hopes they will leave and she can raise her children in peace. A Yoki-Onna does not need a father to bare children. In fact she falls pregnant after every four winters has passed giving birth to a child in the new winter time. She is a very protective mother, but knowing what the Mundane has done to her children in the past, she must be fierce. It is said that Yukinko’s tears harden into pearl like gems that are sold by the Mundane world. Yukinko are often then stolen from Yoki-Onna at a young age. Forced to produce as many gems as they can till, they are killed living the Yoki-Onna distraught as her children’s souls come back to her one last time before fading. This whole entire time their soul seeking her comfort one last time. She has no trust in mortals due to this fact and instills this survival instinct in her children. Yukinko themselves are neither male nor female, but have their mother’s characteristics beauty and many of her gifts and powers. With a simple breath they can freeze an individual, their tears harden and turn into cold pearls that are ice cold to the touch. They can touch something and freeze it upon touch. Can create blizzards or snow flurry when scared, upset, or other great emotional upheavals. Yukinko skin are very soft to the touch, but very cold. It’s less their touch freezes anything, it’s just that they are so cold to the touch that it passively freezes whatever it touches. They are easily bruised, and are not strong physical fighters. In fact a Yukinko can easily be overpowered by a single man. Against two they have little chance. They are shy individuals. Often hiding in the snow white of the flurry they create when scared. A survival tactic. They do not do well in the heat at all. They prefer to stay in cold areas. Due to this the summer months make Hyoumu dizzy, he can overheat very quickly, and the heat can make him very sick. So he prefers to stay in a room he has frozen or to come out when the sun is not beating on him. Because the Yukinko are so cold, but delicate they burn fairly easy when touched by fire. Fire is their greatest weakness. Though they can be slain by swords, especially ones doused in holy waters. However, with this said Yukinko have exceptional regenerative abilities when left in cold areas or by taking the life force of another individual. Unlike Mundane people a Yukinko does not need to eat to sustain itself. Instead it can drain a victim of life force and feed off of that and be satisfied. They also tend to age at an incredibly slow rate. Are said to also be exceptionally beautiful. Appearance:

Beautiful is probably the first word that comes to mind when gazing at Hyoumu. There is something about him, that is like snowflakes in the sun. His skin is porcelain white, like that of a doll, and his irises are so deeply blue it had near the same shade as pure sapphires. Actually in fact it’s hard to believe for some people that Hyoumu might be entirely human. It doesn’t help that his skin is cold to the touch and he has a tendency to overheat in the summer weather. It doesn’t help that he is so inhumanely beautiful. Though some of the priesthood merely shake it off as him having someone’s divine favor. Truth be told Hyoumu is only called a he because despite all his inherent androgyny, he has no breast or hips to define him as a woman. Though of course strangers are not going to be disrobing him, so they cannot see that he isn’t entirely male either. He simply accepts being called a he as it is custom of the Mundane world to be defined by a sex. His hair is neither white nor blonde, instead it appears to be some silky, glistening, white with blue highlights, giving it nearly a sky blue quality at times even simply a silvery blue color like mercury. It is soft to the touch and glistens like metal when touched by the sun. His clothes seem to be of traditional Buddhist priest robes, a full kesa, though not made out of any expensive fabric considering it’s meant to be a robe he can travel in as well. He doesn’t like the idea of drawing more attention to himself. Both arms he wears tekko around his wrist, and his right hand is wrapped usually with his rosary beads. He wears geta, and some socks, the geta tend to give him some height though very little. Standing at 162cms, 5’4”, and weighing 49kg, 110 lbs, he actually stands more around 5’3”½

“I will do what I can for you in your current circumstance. But I do not guarantee I’ll have the strength to aid you. I do not like boasting about my capabilities. I rather keep your expectation of my talents as reasonable as I can,” His voice was soft and as gentle as winter air brushing across your cheek. It’s low and evenly toned, and quite pleasant to listen to. It’s neither masculine or feminine, but sits somewhere in the middle that you have to listen carefully in order to make a choice decision on his gender in that current circumstance. He’s very quiet, sometimes to the point of a whisper, perhaps it reflects a bit of shyness from him. As he holds his hands close to his chest and seems uneasy when speaking directly to people. Reputation: There are many things to say about Hyoumu. There are many things to say about Saigo Namida “Last Tear”. It depends which story you want to hear, and which story you want to attach to him, as he tries to flee his past. His cage. The “Last Tear” was said to be a living sword, but it’s name was attached to many atrocity of war, and death. It is said the Last Tear was a sword so cold, that it did not kill its enemies, it froze them and then shattered them. Though no evidence of this ever occurring was witnessed on the battlefields that the Last Tear had been on. When it shattered into pieces many said good riddance to the sword. A sword that many claimed to be alive and it’s many Masters had been driven to sorrow and madness by touching the sword itself. Or so the tales say. Many of its Masters were driven to suicide, often the Last Tear being the weapon they used to commit this act. They said the blade had so much sorrow it overwhelmed them and their enemies. It is also said in these tales, that while there may have been no evidence of shattering enemies. The enemies slain by Last Tear were known to weep as the blade struck them and before they died. Eitherway the dark sword no longer seems to exist, being shattered into fragments and unable to be reforged all that is left is its legacy and Hyoumu who came afterward.

Well he came before that as well. But for right now after. Hyoumu is respected by most. A highly associated priest. He is often hired for the most extreme exorcisms. Often the things said about him are about his great power and his great source of magic. Some tales even go as to far and say Heaven brought them an angel to protect the people from the dark evil that has spread onto the Mundane world like an infection. While those in the Mundane world who know Hyoumu personally really just a delicate individual. Who is lucky he hasn’t died yet. Praised for the strength of his power, but not entirely praised. The priesthood has no use for celebrity priest who scam civilians. Though Hyoumu has never scammed anyone. But even some people are a little cautious of the beautiful individual. Snake charmers are everywhere these days. Personality: It is hard to believe that Hyoumu has committed any sin. Words that others define him by are gentle, kind and compassionate. While these are true assessment of his character, it goes beyond being kind, gentle, and compassionate. Hyoumu’s personality seems near as delicate as his easy to bruise skin, shy and insecure when talking to people. He comes off a bit naive. Not to the point where some would call him immature, but he does tend to have a child like sensibility. That usually is displayed in his awe and wonder, his curiosity and imagination about the world around them. It is usually displayed in his easy loving heart, and fear of overbearing authority. He isn’t often seen in other’s company. They say he’s a loner, reality is traveling makes him seem more aloof and mysterious than he is. Those in the Kaifuku instead see a snow white prince hiding in shadows or behind the nearest thing in the room, usually Senshi in order to not be seen. The quietness when people directly talk to him is when he has clammed up and is too shy to speak. He often flees, flusteredly so, when someone catches his gaze and he notices. He’s been known to hide behind vases, shoji doors, laundry, under a table once, and one time he threw a blanket over himself. He of course over time can warmup and get comfortable with people, but usually that takes a while and is often a friendship forged by speaking to him no matter how efficient or inefficient his hiding places are. When he does warm up to individuals, he can be wise, and have a unique perspective of things. Still he often comes off with an innocence that rubs off on other people that allows him to get away with a pout here and there if there’s something he really doesn’t want to do. And he has had in the past used his beauty or his meek demeanor to get his way. And that’s probably the only sin some people could think of. But behind that gentle, childish like personality, is a deeply scarred soul that has a lot of deep fears. Embedded into his mind spiritually and not just mentally. He isn’t easy to open up to when it comes to people, while yes he’s quite shy, he also doesn’t come to trust easily. Afraid of someone taking advantage of him or hurting him in some way. He has a deep fear of blood as well, one where he will become frozen or paralyzed at the sight of it. Though not insignificant wounds, but the kind of blood he saw when he slaughtered lots of people when he had no control over his will and desire. He also seems to be seeking some kind of deep personal redemption and doesn’t easily accept his own efforts. Often berating himself or feeling like he hasn’t done enough or is good enough. Despite thirty-seven years being free from the sword, he still feels like a sinner. He still feels like a bad person. He doesn’t know how to wash away the stain of tainted blood in his soul. He is often struck with nightmares of the hundreds of years as a sword. Night terrors that plague him. The dead people is what he fears the most. They blame him for being alive and chastise him for being resurrected and they didn’t get a second chance. He drowns in red in his dreams. Despite that though Hyoumu likes winter, he likes to watch fall leaves change color as well, he likes taking ice cold baths which annoys others in the Kaifuku as he tends to leave the bath water ice cold. He likes doing the laundry and it’s the only chore he will do before Hazou assigns them any more. His favorite food is anything with azuki paste. While he dislikes the summer and that most of the Kaifuku members have fire. He dislikes swords, needless deaths, and cruel people.
