Incidentally, what is the lighting situation at present?  I kinda inferred we were in a generally well-lit area, despite it being night, since none of us had disadvantage on perception checks.  That being said, I'm pretty sure Signod wouldn't bother with carrying his own torch since he can darkvision well enough on his own.
