One might expect him to be holed up in his office all day, busy with phone calls and paperwork, but he makes an effort to interact with residents of the town and 'leave his rank at the door' most days. His friendly smile and charming small talk are what he's known for, making casual conversation with residents about the weather and how their lives are going. In fact, maybe the sheriff's loveable personality is what compells people to not commit crimes, as he oftentimes reminds people just how little local crime there is. If anything, there's [i]no[/i] crime in Probity! Trust him.[/sub] [right][h2]Venal Reprobate[/h2][sub]Underneath the surface of no crime and smiles all round, Charles fails to meet the 'responsibility' requirements of having power and influence, and instead exploits residents of the town in the form of blackmail and deceit. He finds out someone's murdered a man, knocks on their door, gets ready to arrest them and then gives them a promise; if they cough up money, he'll have a convenient case of selective amnesia and all records of the incident will disappear. Of course, Charlie deals in lesser crimes and sometimes just embarrassing secrets, holding people's privacy and dignity at gunpoint without a care in the world. People will sometimes even approach him first, being so paranoid that they get their skeletons incinerated before they even have a chance to get in the dammed closet. This corruption is obviously a tight knit secret between him and those he exploits, out of fear of the latter having their secrets shared should they breach the confidentiality. Truly he never paid attention in church, as his own bizarre recollection of the Bible has sent him down a dark path indeed.[/sub][/right] [hr][center][h3]TBD - Wife[/h3] [sub]Charles is currently in the ultra meta stage of waiting to be assigned a wife in the form of another player character, and will get back to you when he can formulate an opinion on something other than the dog that's been staring him down for the past hour.[/sub][/center][/hider] It seems a little short (I wrote it on my phone so I can't really gauge it) and is probably riddled with errors, so I'll come back to it tomorrow and add/change some stuff. Or it'll stay mediocre and I'll blow you all away with the barkeep. Who knows? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ [sub][sub][sub][sub]Barkeep DLC £24.99 with an additional season pass of £19.99. Requires base game "Grim's Mediocrity and Confidence Issues" to play. Prices subject to change once out of Early Access stage.[/sub][/sub][/sub][/sub]
