She has deep-set blue-green eyes and pale, milky skin. She is usually clothed in a long dress robe, a standard of female mages in the university. Very modest in nature, she tries to hide her natural feminine beauty whenever possible. Class: Mage, specializing in Ghosting. Motivation: The University was there for solace when she felt her world was falling apart. She will do anything to protect her new home, and her brother. History: Katima and her twin brother, Nilam, grew up on the outskirts of a small city with their parents. It would appear that magic runs in their family as all of them were gifted from a young age. Their parents began training them as soon as their abilities began to show. Katima found that she was able to walk through solid matter without being harmed. They often kept to themselves, as magic users are generally feared and are not tolerated. When the twins were in their teens, their parents were attacked by some of the city-folk who had found out about their use of magic. Heartbroken, Nilam decided to try his hand at something he had never done before: necromancy. He attempted to bring them back based off of an old spellbook but, as he had no experience, it went horribly wrong. He had gone to a secluded forest to attempt this dark magic. The experiment resulted in a magic explosion and shockwave that tore the surrounding trees from the ground, roots and all. The magic shot through his body and caused some permanent damage to his mind. As soon as this happened, Katima was able to sense that something wasn't right. It took her several hours to locate him and wake him from his stupor. She had to help him flee as the townspeople quickly retaliated and chased them off. They ended up in Cordath were they were offered safe haven in the Mage's University. Having no other options, they accepted. The following years were not easy on them. Nilam suffered delusions, hallucinations, and, occasionally, complete mental breaks. Katima had swooped in to take care of her ailing brother, spending all hours of her day at his side making sure he was okay. With all her attention and focus on him, Katima's ability was not able to progress further, leaving her weak and inexperienced. The both of them also began to get called upon by the king to help with various tasks, from Nilam's aid in battles to Katima's help in gathering intel. Strengths: Motherly - Nurturing - Hopeful- Grateful - Loyal to her family Weakness: Physically useless in battle - Soft Hearted - Timid - Inexperienced with ability What is the most important thing to know about your character? Katima will stop at nothing to make sure that her brother and herself are safe. What is your character's greatest flaw? She has based her focus on protecting and caring for her brother- therefore, she has not paid attention to her own studies, keeping herself inexperienced. Why should your character be in a position to influence an entire country? If she begins to focus and train her ability, nothing will be able to be kept hidden from her.

After several moments, Katima's mind was clear once more. She could always tell when her brother's mind began to wander and it was usually doing inopportune moments for her. Like now, when she was supposed to be focusing on her concentration. According to her teacher, concentration was the major factor in her ability. One wrong move could mean disaster for the girl. The girl gave herself a small shake to rid the tension from her body. She was ready. She could do this. Staring at the wall in front of her, her blue-green eyes narrowed as she focused. All she had to do was picture herself becoming lighter than air. Should be easy enough. Katima cleared her throat and gave a small nod of her head to alert her teacher that she was ready. Taking one small step, she closed her eyes in concentration. When she didn't feel herself running into the wall, she beamed with excitement. She couldn't believe she was actually doing it. Getting caught up with the swell of pride, Katima didn't notice her concentration breaking. Not until she felt as though the air had just been sucked from her lungs from a sudden pressure at her chest. Quickly opening her eyes, she looked down and soon realized that while the left half of her body had made it through, the right was now stuck behind the wall. Her eyes widened as her arms flailed before trying to push against either side of the concrete. "Stop, stop! Breathe, child, relax! You must concentrate!" berated her teacher. "I am! I'm trying!" She cried out in exasperation and could feel the panic increasing in her chest. As tears hit her eyes, she sucked in a deep breath and squeezed her eyes shut. As she once more focused on her ability, Katima soon found herself falling forward. With a gasp, she landed on all fours on the other side of the wall. She hung her head and couldn't help a tearful laugh at herself. Until she heard giggling. Looking up to realize she was in the middle of the hall surrounded by others, she quickly sobered up before staggering to her feet. Brushing off the bottom of her robe, she cleared her throat and hurried to her room.
