Just as Amelia thought this hell was over it struck once more. The ground shook as they were about to leave the building. For just a moment her mind refused to accept it, but she was forced to as she hit the floor. The trembling made her fall, luckily she fell without any major injuries, she was shaken nevertheless as it took her a few seconds to take her bearing and look around. What had happened!? She hurried to get up on her feet, as she moved over to where Meg and Ray were. She saw red... She was seeing blood under them! There appeared to be some tool underneath them. “ MEG, RAY!” Amelia called, hurrying to pull Ray off Meg. Amelia's mind froze at the sight. There was a hoe sticking out of Meg's chest. She must have fallen on it... it came out of where her heart was! Ray too had blood on hip, he appeared to be lightly wounded too.' Why is this happening?' Amelia panicked in her head wondering what to do. She was dying! They had to save Meg...! But... there was no way there was so much blood.” I'm sorry Meg...!” Amelia cried out, pulling injured Ray with her towards the outside of the building. Her mind was racing, her thoughts were incoherent madness as she brought Ray outside, letting go of him gently before leaning over on the other side, her hands one on her hair another on her stomach as she violently threw up. “Wha...” She made a sound as she finally stood up again, her mind confused, unable to decide.” Have to... sa...v.. no... go..?! Where...?” Amelia was speaking in a manner filled with confusion. Before her hazy eyes stopped on Ray. Yeah she had to help him. Yes...” ...go... Let's go... have to move.” She managed to say, moving over to him almost in autopilot to help him so they can start moving through the rubble. In other words... she was avoiding what she had just saw happen. Her mind and brain couldn't handle it if she was thinking about it so with the help of the adrenaline and the brain's natural safety functions she was in a state where thinking about the terror, the pain and death was numbed temporary instead focusing on a goal of survival.
