Kneeling to check her boots and retrieve the hunting knife from the top of the left one. She flipped it forward and back in her hand, testing the grip before looking to Pietro when he returned. So there were a group of human guards, they most likely had guns. It wasn't something she wanted to run into, but such was the human fascination with those noisy things. Her amber eyes were bright with not excitement but thrill. The hunt was on. Glancing towards the halls that Pietro had mentioned she nodded more to herself than the others. "I'll go see what power the mutant has. Vents. Return soon." Not waiting for a reply the shifter darted down the hall. Why should she? She had hunted alone plenty of times before. Her feet moving in a graceful lope as she strove to keep her foot falls soft. Following Pietro's directions. Though she was oh, so very careful to keep her eyes sharp for humans. At luck they might think her a Brotherhood- though she doubted it. Tucking her knife into it's sheath as she dipped low. Her body cracked and split. A mouse continuing down the hall, large amber eyes keen on any intelligent life. Hoping to spy this mutant and get a gist of what power they might have. Pietro was not so bright- or so she thought. Idiots. Running about a gaggle of geese. If they were making a mess like this, that at least to Richard meant that it wasn't the front doors that had been breached. Something he found welcoming. So this group of X-scouts weren't just brawlers. They had some brains! He would relish this. Sauntering down the hall, he moved his path as to check the side door or doors. If they were all secure it stood to reason that these intruders if they were the X-Scouts had come via air or below ground. Though he would have to give them props if they had done it that way. Shifting one gun back to it's holster, the Adder smirked as he continued his sweep. Careful. Cautious. And always aware and ready to snap to cover and then get behind the intruder. Choking them out would be his preferred method at this point. Information would be valuable. Who were they? How many? Why were they here? Oh, he was sure he knew some of their answers if they were who he thought they were. But the questions still needed asked if only to establish a base line for truth and lie. Really, he was wasted here. Running about halls and plotting mass genocide. But- eh. He was paid, and this genocide wouldn't hurt his cause too much. Even if it did irk him a good deal.
